So, down the road from me at my local Kohls, i found a Thundercracker still hanging on the rack. I already have two loose, so i'm not interested in buying it for my own collection. But will i regret not buying it to keep mosc? Should i grab it, or will i have a chance down the road to pick it up.

It probably will appreciate, but you're unlikely to turn a large profit on it, unless you're very patient.

Grab for a trade, the Classics stuff retains its value very well and Generations has almost disappeared from pegs now....

After consulting many sources, including my gf, pastor and therapist, we've all come to the conclusion that yes you should buy it or no you shouldn't because maybe you will see it later down the road but also maybe not.

All toys appreciate in value the longer you have them, according to ebay. Thank goodness I have 5 cases full of Mega Cheetors in my basement, one day these will be worth a MINT!

Isn't TC in stock at HTS and Amazon still too?

Not concerned in the least about scalping. But i'm always like having good trading fodder, i'm just not into having multiple items that i'm not displaying laying around. Hence the question in the first place. So thank you Joshua, for being your everyday typical BB poster. Your answer was quite helpful and extremely necessary :)

I'd pick him up, if you won't miss the money. Consider Generations Thrust, who was in the first Generations wave (and one of the most heavily ordered waves by retailers). He was very easy to find everywhere for months and already routinely sells for twice his retail price. Thundercracker will probably see the same.

I'd pick him up for trade fodder. Seekers are always in demand for collecting so he'll probably have a moderate uptick in value further down the line. As far as the scalping comments go, it's easier just to ignore that whiny lot. You'll never win amongst that cacophony of mewling.

    Ebay:
Just Kidding! I'd pick him up to for trade material too, haha.

I just picked this up to put on ebay, McFarlane Toys NHL Sports Picks Series 29 Terry Sawchuk. Saw it at TRU on the peg, and it's worth up to $250 on ebay. So yeah, I'm doing a scalper thing for a $15 figure this time. Super rare, only 350 made worldwide. More power to the people willing to spend the money.

Nice find! I missed out on Thundercracker and was just checking Kohl's over the weekend as my last effort before I broke down and ordered it.

I should've picked up more than one Gen. Thundercracker. Makes for a good generic blue Seeker on my shelf.

It's McFarlane, and it's not broken in package? Hmm, probably closer to 5 in that condition worldwide.

Although I normally opposed to people worrying about stuff like this, I would say to go ahead and get it too. He's been gone off the shelves for months around by me and was only shipping in two waves. And as someone said with Thrust (who was also only in two waves) he would probably make decent trade fodder down the line.
