Holy crap, that's the same shade of blue as mine!

Granted--I got the idea for these colors from someone else anyway.  But seriously was hoping they'd do a cartoon-color version. In the end, I can't say it's not a nice rendition. Plus, the detailed apps and stripes are definitely better on theirs. :D

Still, I don't think I'll be picking one up afterall, as I'm pretty happy with what I've got. Nice for everyone else that wants him, though.

I think it's the same for my custom as well. I used a shade of Blue Mica from Tamiya paints.

Yeah, that was the one. :)  And Tamiya silver leaf for the silver bits (which seems to be a spot-on match with all the "silver" painted elements of Hasbro's toys--I've done lots of touch-up work on toys with that stuff, and it's always perfect!)

Even though I was able to buy the 2007 Botcon "Games of Deception" box set, this Thundercracker (and Wheeljack) is pre-ordered with no regrets.

so, does this mean that Sunstorm will be released near the end of the Generations line? Still, preordered, since now I''ll have a Thundercracker that I could use more heavily without fear of further stressing the crack in the Botcon versions tailfin (Still debating on whether or not I should get Generations Thrust and Dirge, since I have the Henkei versions)

    Perfection, just pure perfection.

Wheeljack is good enough and has the right over the shoulder canon.

TC is just perfect too, different enough from the cons and gentai, but still beautiful enough to fit in with his fellow seekers.

I like this wave except Thundercracker doesn't do anything for me since I already have the Henkei one however if the quality is better than the Henkei I may have to bite on one.

    Awesomeness. Can't wait for either.

Please let there be a Sunstorm before the line winds down...

You know what, I think YOU were the person that recommended those paints to me and helped me out with my first custom, TC himself! You were super patient and answered all my questions without fail. That silver leaf and mica did the trick.

I thank you for your help then, and again I thank you now. I'm in the process of doing "Road Rage" from RtS Tracks. :D  I checked out the Tamiya color chart online and I'm going to hit up the local hobby shop that sells the paints next Monday.

Hey, pretty cool to hear! I remember some questions from someone a while back--it probably WAS you. My inspiration came from a Radicon member named (of course!) Thundercracker. He was the first one to do that particular paint-up and named those two Tamiya colors as what he had used.

EDIT: Found the thread! http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/204957-my-classics-thundercracker.html by Thundercracker.

I'm starting to think maybe it wasn't you that asked me about my TC. If you read a few pages in, you're asking some stuff too. Looks like we were inspired by the same custom. :)
(Sorry, not hijacking the thread--this is what some of us did when we thought BC-TC would be the only version ever. Plus the fact that Hasbro seems to be using practically the same color we did! :lol  )

LOL! Ah, okay! I could have sworn it was you. But man, you had NO idea how stoked I was to see that TC was going to be a dark blue instead of a light blue. :D
