Stupid question, I know, but...It seems every single picture and review of it depicts his fans in different places especially in robot mode.

On the tail fins or on the top of the wings, or the underside of the wings, which is considered 'correct' and which did you personally prefer?

The G1 position is with the fans under the large wings in jet form placement. That's how I display mine.

To be most accurate to the cartoon model, I think you'd have to put them on top of the wings in jet mode, and under the wings in robot mode, leaving the wings folded down so that the fans face forward.

But I personally put them on the top of the wings and leave them there, folding the wings up for robot mode.

This is what I do with mine. Can't say I'm 100% happy with the look, but as the wings are just different generally to the G1 version then I guess it'll have to do. Plus it sets him apart slightly from the look of the other seekers in my line up (aside from the obvious colour differences).

How weird, I was google searching as many images as I could find just yesterday for an answer to this exact same question.

i put mine on the rear wings, that way his wings can fold flush to his body and it gives some variation from the other two coneheads

I leave mine on top of the wings and never move them. That's the only way those awful looking skinny wings looks decent IMO.

On top of the main wings, and leave them there. I bought an extra Thrust to modify so the wings go through the thruster.

If you can see there on the left side, that's how I have mine.

The Henkei one is different from the US release in that if you leave his wings like that it hinders his arm. The Henkei's joint that the wing moves on is rounded on both sides to let it do that.

I dont think there really is a "correct" way which is why they are seperate pieces. However, I prefer them mounted on the wings which is why I've modified them so that the wing goes through them like the original G1 version. I then leave the wings up like the original trio of seekers.

Yeah...I think it's more personal preference than anything. I have mine on the top regular wings in jet mode, and they stay there in robot mode. I flip his wings up in robot mode.

I do it that way with my Generations release. You can either pop the wings off and put them back on, or with a slight effort just fold them up that way...

I like them on top of the main wings, for both modes.

I relocate them to his legs in robot mode. Neither position is particularly accurate to his G1 toy/animation model. Leaving them so that they're visible from the front in robot mode leaves them kinda in the way in robot mode. So I move them down to the legs, where they're at least somewhere in the same region as the fans on the television model (where they were knee mounted).

I keep mine on top of the wings in both modes, and flip the wings up in robot mode. It differentiates him from the other Classics coneheads (whose wings can't flip up at all) and doesn't let Thrust's main distinctive feature go to waste.
