I like Thunderwing much more than Black Shadow.

 

Colors on this thing are amazing, and it is impressive what some slight retooling does for the mold. Sure it would be nice if it was bigger (hope for something from the 3rd parties), but it will still display nicely next to my Skyjacks with Venksta upgrades.

 

As much as I love the Thunderwing toy, I'll camp with the folks who like Black Shadow better! The tooling, the colors, all mixed with a fun deluxe makes this repaint worth the hunt.

 

Wow, I thought I liked the idea before, when I just knew he was a Space Gangster, but now, geez, he looks friggin awesome.

Little side question, about how big is that head compared to WfC Megs?

 

He would stand in perfectly alongside skyfall.

 

He is a great figure. I have no qualms about him. Great bot face. Intensely strong light-piping, probably strong enough to contend with Cyclonus for champion.

I don't have a beef with a deluxe-sized Thunderwing since he was smaller than OP in Marvel.

 

I was starting to get a little buyers remorse out of buying him, but then I saw this picture and i'm glad I've got one on the way (best crack on with the Hellbat custom I've got going on.

I'm thinking of shaving off the shoulder guns and giving him a new hand held gun.

I have mine rocking a pair of the guns from the old micromaster Flattop.
Very shooty looking.

 

I like that you can't see sky shadows head in alt mode. Killed it for me with thunder wing.

 

I suggested that way back when.

Meh? None of Thunderwings head is visible in alt mode.

Anywho, after much hunting, Black Shadow is mine. I have waited so long for this. I anticipated Black Shadow when Thunderwing was first announced and before that I had the black and red Iron Man crossovers jet as a stand in for Black Shadow.

Now that I finally have him, he's fantastic. So very happy to have this guy.

 

Hasblow was cheap on this one, they could've done just alittle bit more with this guy, different weapons maybe. while the new sculpted chest piece and awesome head mold is great, I just wish they could've done a little more... well here's hoping Maketoys or FansProject does something...which I'm sure they will... p.s. please do something!

 

Can't say I agree, the chest remold is unexpected extra mileage; usually with these redecos, its only a new head -- if anything. Blurr being and exception. I dunno, I suppose that I'm still riding the high that there's a modern Black Shadow at all.

 

I know, I know, I love the fact that we have a Black Shadow too but I think I'm still riding the whole "Oh my God I have a Thunderwing figure that's actually articulated" high! and I think that guy is kinda sticking around in my mind as the winner... oh crap! here comes the hate,lolol.

 

Transformers are often mistransformed in package to save plastic that is used to create the bubbles surrounding the toy. You should not judge a toy by how it looks in package.

 

SOOOO not impressed with Sky Shadow. I wasn't even looking for him when I found him today. I picked him up hoping they had improved the mould from, I laughingly use the name, Thunderwing. Nope now they both suck...... Sky Shadow's head fell off right out of the package. I will be parting them both out!!
