Right...so I finally got my first 3 generation scourges a few days ago, 2 are still mosc, but one had a dented card so I thought "what the hell, let's get him out of that plastic prison" so I opened him up and transformed him, nothing weird about it.

Then I looked at the instructions and discovered that he had weapons, so I combined them and tried to put the big gun in his fist...wouldn't work

seperated the guns and then tried putting the bigger gun in the other hand...still wouldn't fit.

I put the smaller part that clips on to his head in both hands, and that works fine.

So I inspected the gun to see if it's bloated in any way, but it looks normal.

So I tried putting his bigger weapon in the hands of other classics and that works fine, which leads me to conclude that my scourges hands are smaller than the other chugs and that he can only hold the smaller gun.

Anyone that had similar experiences? Was my scourge a 1 off?

Got 4 Generations Scourge and the guns fit just fine. Just a bit of effort is needed the first time.

his hands can be a little finicky (sp*) i had problems with my 3 hasbro and my united version was the worst.

like others have said keep at it and once it goes in the first time (that sounds terrible) its much easier after that (i did not make that sentence any better)

It's just an unfortunate QC issue. It's a random thing that happens to all of us.
There's alot of loose clip systems, unfit mechtech ports, fingerless Crankcases, bad grips , weak powercore joint etc going on lately.
I guess from Hasbro pumping up so many more figs these days, more minor mistakes & last minute decisions are made more frequently.

Sandpaper or dried superglue usually fixes most of it, including your weapon issues.

^ i can attest to this i have yet to get a single DOTM deluxe that hasnt had something wrong mostly the new hinges that have no pin.

but if you feel it will not fit into scourges fist got to your local hobby store and look for a file set, or sanding sticks (varying grits, and shaped like a pen) or there is always a drill

My five Scourges are just fine. My Wheeljack however, came with three front wheels and required sacrificing a Tracks to fix his really screwed up arm (and to get another rear wheel). My BIS Cyclonus required total disassembly of the leg/hinges and the Rodimus came stress cracked on the shoulder balls.

Sigh QC isn't what it used to be.

I would just liek to add that here in Canada I am still waiting for Scourge...and Kupp, and Wheeljack and Warpath :(  the latter are new even to the States but damn Kupp and Scourge have been around forever.

Scourge's weapons fit in his hands, but I had to force mine in. Nothing broke or anything, and he's not the only figure with really tight hands (getting DVD-Animated Prime's axe into Classics Prime's fist is a real strain)

Yeah, I've got three and none of them have any issue holding the weapon(s).
