I've been trying to only buy the WFC figures as I want to support that line in the hopes of more. I'm not a collector.

But I did pick up Red Alert when I found him because I'm tempted to mod him into my custom character.

Now that I've had him for a couple days I have to say... I don't really like this figure. The transformation is bad. I don't like the default legs. I dislike the head reveal. I can't get the doors to line up properly 90% of the time.

I think I should have followed my gut and passed.

But what's the general opinion on him?

my only gripe is you cant put his engine/hood scoop thing on his back any more when he's in robot mode bc of the emergency lights he has...you have to transform him with the roof as his chest way to attach it to his back, you cant do it both ways anymore

You can combine the engine with his gun to make a better gun :D

I love the mold and love the paint. Sweet toy!

Theoretically you can combine them. In practice you can rest one on top of the other and hope it doesn't fall off.

To each their own, but I think it is one of the better molds to come out of Classics 2.0 and a good transformation. I havent had any allignment issues with the doors on any of the molds (have 9 of it I think). I think it is a pretty good mold and pretty good interesting that they made it to work with both Sunstreaker and Sideswipe.

Mine combine perfectly well. The gun sits on the bottom, the little flap parts of the engine attach to the sides of the gun and hold it on... All of mine are combined this way, and every single one holds perfectly fine. And not a single one has ever fallen off.
In fact when my sunstreaker fell, the gun still held together.
Just a matter of combining it correctly :)

I think the mold is overrated and mildly frustrating. And yet, I own it 5 times, including as 2 expensive exclusives.

My only gripe with Red is the awful molded plastic color. I don't know what it is with Hasbro and their use of that grey that dulls out their figures.

The Henkei release has a much brighter and crisper deco.

I have the Henkei version too and it is very nice. I don't think the Hasbro version is as bright considering they seem to like homaging the actual G1 toy versus the animation model. But I have three versions of the mold and like it alot.

I wish I had just bought the henkei version. My Generations version doesn't look as good, or fit together well in car mode. The legs, especially, don't fit together at all on mine. I've got a split tail Lambo.

I love this mold. I have virtually no problems with it. I have more of it than I do seekers. I have from Universe: Sideswipe and Sunstreaker. Henkei: Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, and Alert. Generations: Alert. TFCC: P/CP and G2 Breakdown. That makes 8 not counting the duplicates on some of them.

:lol  Split tail makes me think of something else. You have a female Lambo. :p
