I swung by my local Dollar General today hoping to see some RTS Legends and found the red back Minicons that have been on TFW's resources site for about a year, yet I've never seen them at retail before. I don't buy minicons, so no pics. They had the chopper, the Crasher looking car, and a red truck.

They sell those at just about every discount store. Dollar General, Big Lots, etc. Pretty expensive, too. Can get them for much cheaper as a set on BBTS.

Are you sure you're thinking of the same ones? There was a batch of red-carded 25th anniversary tagged Mini-Cons, but there's also a set of four singles on Generations-type cards (without the Generations backer) that, in the US, have only been found at Family Dollar, and now it seems Dollar General. They go alongside an 8-pack that has only ever surfaced in Europe.

Funny thing is the ones I saw at The Christmas Tree Shop were like 3.50 or so, more than the 3.00 price for RTS Legends at Five Below. If I am thinking of the same set. The one with Panhandler and Brakeneck?

that would be the ones...that 4 pack of individually carded minicons are the only ones being sold under the generations (or red card) banner.

aside from the minicon set that was released in europe...

Yep, that is them, then. I found four or five of those at "Christmas Tree Shops", which if you don't know are basically another dollar-type store with some interesting food products and decoration things all year round. They also had Wreckloose, Undermine and Backstop.

I have not seen those Dinobot Minicons anywhere, though.

Actually, the red card minicons were out last year, most Dollar Generals were still trying to move the last of their "universe" branded stuff.
