so is this under the Generations Label or Reveal the Shield?

 

Other than the lack of a black helmet, he looks perfect. Still not sure I'll get him, as I'm hoping for a Skywarp repaint at some point.

Reveal the Sheild. Generations is staying Deluxe only, though the yellow-box/RtS line is gaining more non-movie figures in it's varying size classes.

Clearly the unpainted head is an homage to Actionmaster Starscream.  

Seriously, how high of standards can you really hold for teensy $4 figures? And as MegaMoonMan said, it would take all of two minutes to dab a bit of black paint on there.

I think he's cute.

 

Yeah.....a black sharpie should sort that out in no time.. Hell...it isn't even an expensive figure to replace on the off chance someone messes up with the sharpie.

Oh yeah, you're right. That actually seems like a pretty damn good headsculpt for Legends class.

I remember being disappointed with some of the Universe legends headsculpts (Bumblebee & Hound), but this is top notch.

 

Looks pretty good for a tiny figure. Lack of head paint will help me make use of my leftover Testors and Sharpies.

 

bet there'll be a black paint app on the final version.

It'll be easier to create a seeker army with this.  

 

I'd be satisfied with Sunstorm... and maybe Skywarp.

 

Do we even know if this is a FINAL production piece or just a stolen toy that might not be finalized? People are so quick to write it off when it might not even match what will be sold in stores.

 

If this is the final version, I'm pretty disappointed. I will likely still get it but it's quite a step down from my initial impression/expectations.

I'm hoping this is just a pre-production piece. Surely they can do better with the paintjob.

 

Photos this early on are not the most reputable source for finalized product images. No offense to ACToys, because they are a good source at times, but he looks like he got pulled off the factory line and shoved into a pocket at step process 13, coloring of the head. I'm not going to let it affect my decision to keep the preorder.
