I took my old Jazz custom spoiler/wing I had built from styrene and attached it to the new Jazz. Had to do some dremel work on the original to cut it down a bit to fit. I just couldn't stand the small one that came on the figure and I want this sucker to look even more G1 than it already does. I'm also in the process of filling in the headlights and sanding those down.

This is just a WIP--I'm planning to either build a new one from styrene or build or find a better hinge system (it still looks a bit odd to me with the scratchbuilt piece attached to the rear hinge piece. Once these mods are done, I'll eventually paint him up and hopefully hit it with decals.

Enjoy and share any thoughts or tips on this. I know some will think it's a bit large in alt mode, but based on all of my Jazz reference material (and it's a lot), it fits in nicely. Also, the spoiler/wing doesn't get in the way of the transformation or bot movement (the knees can still bend).

Nice work! That is how Hasbro should have made it.

Thanks, guys! Yes, the area where they are connected will be fixed (w/putty or styrene). As for covering up the headlights, I just used some sculpting putty, then shaved the excess and sanded. I'll update more on this soon.

Very effective, it makes it that much more Jazz. :)  Once you've tidied up that hinge, I reckon it'll be pretty much spot on.

It looks really great on the figure. Any chance you'd produce some copies to sell?
