Somehow, I feel that these may wind up being Roadbuster's and Impactor's MTMTE bodies.

U do this on ur new fancy shmancy tablet thingie? How much faster is it than ur old regular mouse routine? (i know even greats like adam hughes still use mouse cuz once u become proficient its just as fast tablets)

I don't know. Contra RiD, the MtMtE book seems to generally avoid drawing the characters after High Moon designs, even when they are available.

Great art Josh! Also eagerly awaiting any more you come up with. :D

Maybe. But this also gives them some base to go on for the designs. Personally, I want more Bulkhead-esque Roadbuster with the HUGE design to counter Whirl's spindly one.

Impactor I'm meh on, other than seeing High Moon do him and his team.

I managed to color it on the cintiq. As far as drawing goes I'm still playing with it to find some brushes and all that that I like. I still prefer how it turns out with good ol pencil paper for now.

As for coloring, the tablet is great and faster for smooth paint like stuff, like I generally do for bkgs. But I'm still quicker with flats and the more cel style look with the mouse.

(But I did do ALL the colors and made the explosion from scratch with the table, which was pretty fun)

Yeah, thats what i thought too (regarding coloring with selection) its still faster with mouse on account of keyboard shortcuts. Good to know! Thx.

    yeah

there are a bunch of buttons on the sides of the cintiq that i can assign different hotkeys to, but its easy to forget which button does what :p

also its hard to really remember which ones i use most often. hitting the hotkeys on the keyboard is so much like second nature i dont even think about it and will end up forgetting some when i assign em to the cintiq as well :p

i've used the keyboard hotkeys in conjunction with the cintiq as well. which works out alright. but kinda defeats the purpose of all those buttons on it :p

That was actually one of my biggest concerns, I like that the 24 can float below the level of your desk, but I constantly swivel my 21 and the 24 doesn't swivel physically, just within the screen;(
I think the cintiq will free you up artistically, and this piece certainly reaffirms that!
