In some weird way when I buy this as Megatron I'm going to call him Megaplex, I don't know why...I'm weird. But anyways I have no quam with this mold and that's about it.

 

Looks like Playskool's attempt at a Macross Frontier figure. Pass.

 

I like these new photos, as they help me understand the design of the toy better. I wouldn't mind a shotof the underside of bomber mode, for curiosity's sake. Looks a little bulky undercarriage-wise, but not too heavily so, or with painfully obvious limbs. Still woulda liked a voyager version more, both this and Megatron.

Looks good, though part of me thinks this is too 'athletic' looking for Dreadwing, since his G2 toy was a Bulkhead-grade chunkster.

It's never a crime to keep it simple. It's why i dislike the ROTF toy line...too complicated for its own damn good.

 

I am very curious to see a comparison of this mold with ROTF Skystalker (or any of its repaints)...

 

No kidding. I've seen dozens of toys crippled by being needlessly complex.

Dreadwing looks adorable in those colours.

The figure itself is alright, if nothing more. It's certainly a comedown from the original toy.

I kinda hope he's getting a new accessory. kinda like how the FOC Wreckers are. just doesn't feel like g2 Dreadwing to me without a massive 6 barreled gatling gun.

secondly, I hope at some point we do get a Smokescreen/Jumper/Sniper to pair with him (deluxe or legends is fine with me so long as it happens) . and that the the duo get many merry redecoes like BB and Starscream or the RID deco

Yet to the repaint but no to Megatron. This mold is way to small for him but for Dreadwing it's cool.

 

Generations Ratbat is such a better Wing! lol but I'll get this one too
