    Spada Reviews Generations Darkmount

Darkmount is a blue, half-track, artillery vehicle. In this form he has some very nice attributes. The turret on top swivels 360 degrees and the barrel raises to about a 45 degree angle. A must for a mode like this. The vehicle mode is also decked out with a missile launcher on the right side and two defensive weapons on the left side of the turret (a machine gun and an chaff launcher).

The only real draw back to the figure is it's size in alt mode. It's small. Really small. Smaller than WfC Prime and Bumblebee small. To be honest, after a few hours of play that concur disappears. I would rather have a smaller, better figure then a bigger lamer figure.

Another draw back to the figure is the so-called third mode. The Battlestation Mode. Uh huh. I'm sorry but I cannot call this a '3rd mode' at all. The fact that the robot's arms are holding the mode up makes it seem more likely some designer was playing with the figure and came up with this as a lark.

The full transformation is complex but satisfying. There is a real sense of accomplishment once the figure is in robot mode. One tip: don't attach the parts at form the lower torso until AFTER you unfold the legs.

The robot mode is, in a word, fantastic. The G1 homage to Straxus is spot on but the over robot is a feast for the eyes. Poseability is great but the figure is slightly top heavy due to the back-pack.

Overall this figure is great. The only true weak point is the Battle Station mode but that is very easily overlooked for the over superior modes. This figure is a must have especially for the G1 fans.

Cool review. Thanks. That third mode looks pretty good after comparison to the alt mode pic on the wiki.

Thanks, guys. Hard to compete here with uptibotimus and peeauff (sp?) since they obviously dominate this site. It's had a really great response at seibertron.com however.

It's not really a secret you don't like me. However, don't blame me or Peaugh for your belief you get "swept under the rug" here. If you posted more and contributed more with videos and other reviews, you'd get more attention. The video is very entertaining and i liked it a lot. Let your own personal talent be what gets you attention, don't blame others for not getting what you think you deserve.

Don't like you? Dude, I was subbed to you and left positive comments on your videos. I never said I didn't like you. I don't appreciate what you tried to get me to agree with you about on one occassion and that's it. That hatchet was dead and buried a long time ago and there's no logcial sense in resurrecting an old argument. I'm cool with you if you're cool with me. I was merely pointing out a fact that the majority of the posts here were from you two so it's going to be a challenge to get any attention. Don't read so much into it, buddy. I'm no "professional toy reviewer" like you guys. I just make entertaining videos as a hobby. I didn't start reviewing until now. Just gonna be hard work to be in the "big leagues," that's all.

Nah, nothing bothers me really. I try very hard to be cool with everybody. My mission isn't internet drama, itls just to entertain.

So far i like the stuff ur doing. Need a little better quality camera, just for more detail and texture. Other then that i like the humor u bring. Peaugh and optibotimus definately are some of the more steady seasoned vets. They keep me up to date on the new products. But that doesnt mean i dont watch others and id defiantely watch you. So great job man keep it up.

it's actually a really high quality camera. it's just a webcam though. it's new so i'm still getting used to using it. yeah, i'm not an up-to-date, get-the-figures-before-everyone-else kinda guy. just thought i would do my own unique spin on the whole review thing. thanks!
