Here is my second attempt at Blitzwing as a Duocon / Triple changer

On My first attempt a lot of people were saying that my idea was lacking because it looked like a seeker with a tank strapped to his back and needed more work on the front. I have tried to modify the seeker part some more and add tank parts to the front, I tried to add a bit of a weathered look, but not too much.

The reason for the Duocon instead of a strait triple changer is I am sick of trying to make a tank look good with plane parts sticking out of it, or having a plane with a tank strapped to its underbelly. at leat this way both modes look more like they should.

I have another one of these on its way to the States to be painted by a fellow TFW2005'er, I dare say he will do way better on the paint job than me, but it's all practice :)

    All input appreciated
    Thanks

That's amazing! I've always said that BW was the hardest character to customize because of the reasons you described. Because of that, I pretty much decided I was never going to attempt a BW, but you totally nailed it. I am going to have to come out of "retirement' and do this. Awesome stuff man

The treads are classics Galvatron, the turret is Generations Warpath.

I dig your concept. I like the idea of a seeker get armored up from a tank. Almost like the decepticons' version of Ultra Magnus.

Blitzwing is difficult to design. Plain and simple. In fact, multi-changers in general are a bitch to design because you have to consider so much since you're dealing with 3-6 distinct modes. At some point, some of those modes may need to be compromised in order for the whole thing to work. I've seen a lot of amazing Blitzwing customs, but they've all had the same issues of certain modes being compromised (partsforming, etc).

I like that you went the pseudo Duocon route with this. It makes for 2 solid alt modes and 1 equally solid robot mode.

Wow, this looks great! Nice to see Blitzwing get some love; he's long overdue for an official figure!

Have you considered using Generations Straxus/Skullgrin for the treads? They have a similar setup with the open underside.
