Still a bit of a WIP. She needs a clear coat, then I'll transform her and paint. I'm also going to make a trunk with the little pointy bit out of styrene. It will be either a shield or gun in bot mode. I'd love it if someone would shapeways cast up some thinner forearm/ smaller hands. BIG thanks to dominomist for casting me a copy of this MC Axis garage kit sculpt. I hollowed it out and cut the neck down by half. *New Hands* from Laser Optimus Prime
Looking good! The panel lining on the upper arms and the midsection (stomach area) look a wee bit thick, other than that you're on the right track. Can't wait to see alt mode & finished pics!
I used black paint to fill the groove. Maybe I should change to a dark gray, since I'm not going to be filling in part of the groove to make the lines thinner.
You used an Animated Arcee figure for this, right ? So far looking good...I wonder how did you removed that cockpit and managed to get a good transformation.
Ryoku is correct. So far I've just cut down the neck and painted. I'll be making a trunk to cover her arms in alt mode, but I'm leaving the hard top. Maybe some day I'll have the extra money to get the igear version, but for now this one will have to do.
Got it from dominomist. Check out his Smallfoot custom. it was a copy from the head of: Arcee (1996) This Japanese "garage kit", an unpainted resin model, was made by MC Axis and was also the first official product of Arcee that got a retail release. Included among its paperwork is a comic strip starring Arcee.
