I had been using animated blurr as my stand-in on my classics shelf ever since he came out. I love both modes, but the headsculpt made him obviously stand out. I just got the generations blurr to repaint into punch/counterpunch, and decided to give that head a new home. I didn't think it would fit or the colors would match as well as they do, but I think it looks great! all I had to do was remove the metal peg (by cutting it with my dremel) and put some putty in the resulting hole and stuck it onto the animated figure's ball-jointed neck. I hope this helps anyone having the same predicament I did!

That looks great. The body suits Blurr sooo much better than the larger Generations body.

I was disappointed that Generations Blurr was so cluttered in robot mode so this is a great alternative.

Any plans to hollow out the holes in his hands so that the weapons from Generations Blurr will fit?

Sorry, but that looks pretty bad. The head and body don't go together at all....

nope, going to leave him as just having his shield. the weapons will be going to gen. perceptor (sniper rifle) and my punch custom (pistols).

I'm sorry, but I feel these two don't fit together at all. (And I don't really understand why he needs to take the space of a classics Blurr on your shelf if there is an official one now :D ).

People keep saying that Animated Blurr can fit in with Classics but he's just as rounded and cartoony looking as the rest of Animated.

But that's just my opinion..if this is what people want to do and they like it, who am I to disagree with that? :)

I was really curious about this, since I don't want two of the same mold like most of us. I wouldn't say it looks bad, but the head isn't sleek enough for the body. It looks better like this, with all parts of the body thickened. If I had these two figures, I probably would have just reshelled the Generations figure with the Animated car parts. Too bad the Animated figure is so hard to get now.

It looks good, but the arms don't seem to fit as much.... But I guess that can't be fixed.

you know, upon further looking, that blur model would be an Epic repaint into a tron legacy type vehicle

I... don't really think it works. I know a lot of people complain that Generations Blurr looks too bulky, but IMHO Animated Blurr's body doesn't look bulky enough for the Generations Blurr head. Honestly, I think that if it wasn't for the Animated aesthetic, Ani Blurr is simply too thin.

I basically put the modern figure that I think best represents a character on my classics-generations shelves. this includes having energon galvatron up there, simply because I feel that it has the most defining characteristics of said character. I think that even with the arrival of spec ops jazz I will keep the animated version of him on those shelves, because the alt. mode seems more vintage porsche-like and I like that he's wearing headphones.

I feel that with the two modern blurr figures, the animated car looked the best, while the generations bot mode was way too clunky for a fast character. the animated bot mode is lean and lithe like you would expect from a runner, but the head sculpt just seemed too out of place in my display. this mod, to me, seemed to be the best compromise to get the most out of the available choices.

quite a nice fit for the head.
can the anime head fit on the TFGen counterpart?
