In combined mode, they're about the size of Feral Rex, if I remember correctly (maybe a little bigger?) so the combiners themselves fit more into that size range of Generations stuff.

Have a look at Gravity Builder compared to Constructor: Constructor is a fair bit bigger. Here's an image from someone on TFW (I don't know who; I found it on Google and the page link doesn't seem correct, so apologies to... whomever):

Plus, you know, the style is more Classics-like than it is Masterpiece, and I don't really care about scale when it comes to Classics-esque figures.

Maybe as tall as Havoc (TFM / GT tallest combiner)

Yes they are! The combiner mode doesn't cheat to attain a bigger size, so he won't be as tall as the other G1 MP combiners.

He's about the same height as Gravity Builder, so yeah.

As has already been said, the individual bots are. The combiner is not.

There's always one of the three KO Gravity Builders. I believe only one is oversized the (the Jinbao one).

Does anyone know of a tentative release schedule for these? I want to get the set, but I don't want to drop $400-$500 in one shot, I'd rather space them out a bit. One place has them all as January 2018 and the other I saw, just has 2018 as the release date.

That reminds me of when people were sure that all the TFM cars were coming out at the same time because of BBTS. Hell, I think BBTS even thought so for awhile! The reality is that it took something like a year between the release of the first one and the last one.

Anyway, we haven't even seen colored test shots. Don't get on any of them hitting in January, let alone four of them. And when they start coming expect them to be one at a time.

As Mikeszekely said it is VERY unlikely... But you can start saving money right now! Lol

Edit: On their page, they said the first will come in January and the rest will follow quickly...

This is not the first time someone says this since they officially revealed Defensor in all his forms and glory. So my question is: what is the picture of Blades in color if not a test shot? (By the way, you can see the picture in the first post of this thread.) I’m confused. I thought it was a colored test shot and that he’s going to be the first released, but someone else said the website says it’s Streetwise. At any rate, I do think the first will be released in January.

I sure hope that's a semi-random test shot, with only a loose approximation of colors using what was on-hand. Because Blades should absolutely NOT be a deep, blood-red hue.

Blades is basically "Coast Guard red"---a red so bright/light/scarlet that's it's almost orange.

I kind of figured they would be spread out, Gravity Builder took about a year to finally come out. Also, there were some issues with a few of the bots in that set, hence Megasorry. I'm stil wondering what happpened with Foo Fighter, I'm wondering if this guy will be a little behind the rest, or at the very least, the last in the set.

I think they prefer to do it that way. Gives time for flaws to be revealed, which they take a pretty active role in fixing and releasing replacement parts with the upcoming members of the set. Plus they usually include a build-a-bot bonus with the sprues spread out amongst the members as a bonus for collecting the set.

I finally had the time to put Havoc together... What a piece of art!!!! So beautiful... And yes he is STABLE and can keep dynamic poses as well... I have no doubts that this combiner will be as awesome as Havoc, or even better!

I hope they use more ratchets and locking points for the combiner though... GT /TFM love to design the combiner hips with a "not so efficient" locking mechanism instead of a heavy duty ratchet (like Poseidon). Although this new system on Guardian looks promising!
