Not chug, GT Tyrant is slightly taller than DX9 X09 Mightron, at about 11-12cm.

It was confirmed when GT flat out said it last year. Anyone who has any doubts just needed to do some research.

These are nice Legends figures without exposed balljoints like DX9 and IF.

I will gladly get these but won't care about the OS version as the lack of detail will make it worse in larger scale.

Well I guess DX9 has even more competition now. Good for us, Iron Factory is still going at it alone because they are IDW

These are definitely the best looking legends sized figures, with a bicep swivel and an elbow joint, not the exposed ball joint elbows that DX9 and some IFs tend to have.

Iron Factory have the drawback of oversimplifying the look of complex IDW designs and the vehicle modes usually look gappy and have too many holes.

These two GT guys don't even look legends quality, but they do have a very specific wide face and wide torso styling to them.

Overall, I will try to get them as my first legends purchase. These legends figures make good alternative tiny stand ins to recreate the inconsistent giant scale effects of combiners when displayed with them.

How is the OS Tyrant vs the OS Warbo Grimlock? I heard that Grimlock has model kit quality plastic.

I'll be offering these to board members. Still working out logistics and costs for free shipping, but you can pm me if u want to be on the list. Always aim to be the best price as well.

Cost and order info will be added to my bst when I have it.

I do like the size, scale, and price of these guys. Nice fun figures that don't cost an arm an a leg. I kinda am digging this legends scale stuff lately as it's nice and affordable. Definitely like the if stuff more than Dx9 but good to have options..

I'd love to see these get KO Oversized.... so all you people who keep asking for that will finally see how not good it really is when you have a gigantic oversize arm-gap on Optimus that could hold the damn moon.

Seriously, you think you want this oversized, but you don't. You'll just end up with the most underwhelming large figure ever.

This would be nice for my Fort max.
Also if you want that Optimus over sized then go out and get mp 10.

Well, I pre-ordered these two from TFSource. Thirty-five dollars apiece isn't bad. They look about the size of DX9's Dinobots. The estimated shipping date is closer than I imagined too.

These look promising (well, aside from Megatron's head), but at 12cm they're really too big to be called "Legends." I just measured TR Chromedome and he is just under 13.5 cm tall. These are essentially the size of a modern smallish deluxe. It's a shame, otherwise I'd totally get these guys to go alongside the growing army of DX9/IF/UT Legends stuff.

I agree to a degree... lol.

I think when it comes to KO-ing and OS-ing, ignoring qc and materials, the original mold and what upgrades (if any) the KO company puts into the figure makes a big difference. Sometimes I feel that certain figures when up-sized, lose some of their appeal as the details become lost/too soft/not detailed enough/etc. I love little lego mini-figures, but a 6 inch version or 12 inch version with exactly the same articulation and I'd presume super fat and thick line/paint work - is not really something I want.

Totally understand it's different strokes for different folks and respect everyone's tastes. Just saying that some molds are great when supersized (JB OS Warbotron Bruticus, AOE Hound) or downsized (KBB MP10V) - but then there are others that don't necessarily hit their target.

I figure that the KO Clan out there decided that the GT Tyrant was a worthy one to OS and based on the response - for the price, most people are pretty happy with him. I don't know if I necessarily need this GT Optimus Prime Leader to also be OS given that there is already MP10V which hits the spot for me - but I guess never say never...

Interesting.  Prime looks great within reason for the scale. From straight on, Megatron\'s head looks a little squished, but otherwise I like the bulky body and gun mode.
