This is the only picture with the eyes lit up. Considering there is zero light piping, the eyes light up or this is photoshop. I think it lights up because the switch on the back of the head is too obvious to do nothing and if it does do nothing then that's just an odd design.

Hmmmm............I haven't been following this at all but saw some of the final product images pop up on my FB feed and he looks really nice. I only collect G1 MP at this point, but I have a MakeToys Despotron that was recently displaced in my collection by the official MP Megs, and he's such a great figure I decided not to part with him. Wonder how this guy would be as a companion piece to him? According to product descriptions this guy comes in at 9.5 inches with Despo at 9.05 inches.

 

Guess it shows what a sensitive snowflake you are that you interpret generic comments as crying and exaggerate how much it bothers you.  

Don't worry, a switch on the head pretty much has to be for light-up eyes.

Me too, same situation   Looking for an imposing Optimus Prime to stand opposite Despotron.

 

the chest seems way too big now that in hand product shots are popping up...still going to get it, though I may consider getting the gcreation prime too now...

 

Edgecrusher, you are a gem. I don't know what "sensitive snowflake" means but as far as insults go I've heard worse. I'm not worried, never was. dead eyes and all, I like this figure so there was nothing to worry about.

 

Im seeing them as 2 totally separate designs. Gcreations is more post All Hail Megatron while GTs is more All hail Optimus. Slight iterations of each other.

 

Well, as a former Hot Toys collector during their early days, i hope the batteries do not come pre-installed... don't want to deal with another situation where the battery leaks and damages the figure.

That's just a rectangular hole.

 

Well...unless they removed the electronics for the picture. There's clearly a switch as per the previous pictures.

That looks like a switch...unless the idea was scrapped for final production and they just left it as is...

 

Just saw this image posed next to MP-10 over on my FB feed. I think we may have a winner.

 

Still a bit hesitant on that flat matte red color, especially seeing it next to MP-10.

I'd wager it will have it and the photo without it was just a sample without the electronics which might explain why so few photos of lit eyes are available thus far.

 

Still waiting for my tracking # from Bababobo to start working.


I love the guy, but sometimes waiting a week for my tracking #'s to start working gets tiresome.  

 

That's so funny. I think he really looks great... and yet seeing him next to MP10, I was just like.... "Ehhhhh. I don't neeeeed yet another Prime."

 

Honestly I don't either, but it feels weird to have a random Megatron not paired with an Optimus Prime.
