The first one closed at $3,050.00. What did the second one close at? I missed it and can't find the thread about it now.

Now that is a nice colour scheme. Wish I could put in a bid on it as it's a piece of TF history, but alas its already way out of my reach.

I'm surprised the second piece went for so much less than the first.

I'm going to bid $5000 on Hot Spot just to screw up the set.

And what happens if you won it? Will you pay that much for that protectobot?

Except that (as stated in this auction and the previous two), Hot Spot & Motormaster will not be available.

Which, incidentally, is why I'm not bidding on any of these. :D

I guess by the time the second auction came up, it was clear only one person could potentialy own the whole set.
ie. If you didn't get the first one, you wouldn't get the whole set. Owning the set appears to be a bigger attraction to the 'high rollers' than just one or two.

Nah, I know lots of people that wouldn't have minded owning 1 or 2 of them...but once they started going for more then lucky draw money a lot of those considered high rollers stopped even thinking about it. If these were going in the $500-$700 range I'd bet we'd see a lot more of the familliar names...but there's always someone with deeper pockets. But, I always said I wanted to see Jon & Karl do well with the auctions if they were going to sell...I'll just join a bunch of my friends on the sideline and gawk at how subjective a term "high roller" is :lol  With that kind of $$$ being thrown about, I don't think I qualify :lol

Pity they never released these guys, I prefer the color scheme over the G1 Defensor

    That sucks ass.

Oh well, maybe I'll bid on Streetwise just to own one.

I was kind of gearing myself up to own that crazy looking Hot Spot though :(

I don't get it... Thousands of dollars for bad molds in even worse color schemes just because they are super rare MOSC.
