so i got a fan, whats wrong with that? i have sold him numerous mint Transformers and of course a mint Shockwave, and he just like to deal with me. is there a problem with that?

Not that many. And they seem to be minor adjustments made during production rather than major retooling to make a new character. Thing is that for Transformers Hasbro just released most of (they left out police Sunstreaker and blue Bluestreak) the repaints that Takara did in Diaclone. With revised stickers in all cases. But if not for Hasbro repaints there would not be Skywarp, Roadbuster, or Whirl.

Thankfully, diehard Geewuners represent only a small percentage of the fandom. Unfortunately, they're also usually the most vocal too. But just because someone is louder doesn't automatically make them right.

But that in no way proves that G1 is "the one and only".

G1 is merely "the one" because it was the first. But being first doesn't necessarily make it "the best".

And everything else is just opinion. You cannot prove conclusively that G1 is "the one and only" because fan opinion does not equal fact. Even fan polls won't prove anything except to those who voted in them.
