I question the legitimacy of that Lucky Draw Galvatron, seeing as how his plastic bits are molded in ORANGE, and on the real lucky draw, even the plastic is molded in a faux-gold color...

I mean, it's no big deal at all for HK bootleggers, and creative types with access to factory facilities, to churn out alternate colors, transparent, or even chromed versions of figures.

For that matter, the transparent Soundwave could easily be a lunch special stuck in a Reissue box. Voila...instant "collectible." People do this all the time with other "rare" variants and vintage figures...

I'm clear plastic crack addict. But it's a bit too pricey for me.

I question the validity of any of the clear figures. To my knowledge, Takara never made any clear prototypes. And the wording in the auction makes it even more suspect. "very few or more...purchased directly from a Takara employee...one of a kind and very rarely seen (if they are one of a kind, they should NEVER be seen). It's just too easy for these to be bootlegs for my taste.

    bootlegging chrome, I can understand,
but bootlegging a clear figure with the exact same molds
that takara used makes it a takara none the less

Even the bootleg G1 Optimus Prime had tooling differences from the encore Optimus Prime.
and they were available within months of each other.
