Since we now have better pictures of Perceptor, I figured I might as well do a new digibash of him into Soundwave. This is something I'm considering doing, assuming we don't get a new Soundwave to go with the new Frenzy&Rumble (WFC as-is doesn't cut-it for me).

Got all the physical modifications in-place. The head and guns are from the WFC Soundwave figure. Just need to do the coloring now. If I actually kitbash this, I'll probably wait for the Reflector repaint/retool. It might have some of the plastic already molded in certain colors I would want to use on this guy, and the transparent plastic might have a tint that would work for Soundwave as it already is.

Will update this when I get some more work done on it. I plan on doing the alt-mode too, but I'm not sure if I'll start that next, or work on the colors for the bot-mode next.

Update-1: Decided to get the alt-mode modded-up before starting on the coloring (was easy to do). Might start the coloring tonight, so the finished versions should be up sometime tomorrow.

Update-2: Just finished the details on the colored versions of this guy. Looks really good, imho. If I can get a hold of the head and weapons from a WFC Soundwave I'll definitely do this kitbash. Got another image on the way, but I'm not sure when I'll get it added.

Update-3: Here's the final picture for this. Basically just Soundwave and his minions. Did some guestimating on the size of them and the coloration of Frenzy, lol. Laserbeak is the only one needed to complete the picture (for me anyways).

 

I think this looks cool, provided all of the modifications can be done due to sizes. I think once you have the Perceptor toy in your hands, you'll be able to discern the project pretty well

Thanks. I'm confident that all the mod's I've done for the digibash should work fine for the real version. The hand gun shouldn't need any modding, and I don't imagine the shoulder gun will be all that difficult to get to work. The head is the only oddball atm. I have a couple more mods in mind, but I'll need to wait till I have a copy of the mold in-hand before figuring those out.
