My take on a Transformers video game - using straight from G1 characters:

    Playable:
    Optimus, Jazz, Prowl, Ironhide, Bumblebee
(wheeljack makes weapons for you; ratchet repairs you in base)

    Megatron, Starscream, Thundercracker, Skywarp, Soundwave
    (Reflector is a spy option)

Optimus' mega attack - trailer transforms and attacks; also uses axe and blaster rifle
Megatron's mega attack - Starscream fires him in gun mode at full power; also has the gun emplacement like the toy, a sword, a gun (both from the toy version).
    Jazz - fast, quick transformation
Prowl - high accuracy, above average firepower
Ironhide - high HP, high firepower, a bit slower than others
Bumblebee - fast, very fuel efficient (with weapons too), use more for espionage levels
Starscream - fast, null rays, homing missiles
    Skywarp - teleports
    Thundercracker - sonic boom attack
Soundwave - uses cassettes (rumble, frenzy, ravage, buzzsaw, laserbeak) to attack, along with his shoulder cannon and rifle

Plot: Megatron's trying to steal earth's resources to refuel Cybertron and conquer the galaxy; the Autobots try to stop him; the Decepticons are trying to steal the resources, build a space cruiser, and defeat the Autobots

DLC: more characters, cassettes for Soundwave, levels.

Very rough idea. But if it were straight G1, would you play it?

I would want to hook it straight to my brain and forget about real life...
    Forever.
It would be super cool to have the combiner teams in it.
