Here is a digibash I did by request on another forum using an alt skids head. In order to use it on Ironhide you would have to create a stalk and ball joint that you can attach to the head base, as ironhide's head is only a swivel design.
Red don't look too bad, but the black figure is already perfect in my opinion. I even far prefer his head to the Skids one there. Nice attempts though.

That has to be the best G1-ified Ironhide I've seen so far. Excellent combination of the black and red.
I've got an Alt Ironhide head that I just may have to put on Movie Ironhide. For those who don't know Hasbro did do test shots for Alt Iron hide using Skid's Mold. The head I have was cast using the Hasbro Ironhide head mold.
