I think it's safe to say that Hollywood is so low in ideas that just about ANYTHING can and probably will be made into a movie now.

It's only a matter of time before we get Clutch Cargo: The Movie.

Also, IIRC, isn't the kid supposed to be the dog's pet? It's been a while since I saw that specific "first" episode, and beyond that they never seemed to bother acknowledging it, but I'm pretty sure that if they keep that detail in there's probably going to be a LOT of shit coming down about human slavery being promoted in this film.

The cool sophistication of the original seems to be totally absent here.

Naturally they've replaced the efficient simplicity of the animation with the same tired old Dreamworks expressions.

It doesn't look bad by the standard of what's out there, but to compare it to Jay Ward does it no favours.

I'm thinking it's better than it is, the international trailer seems more in line with the old cartoon, while the US trailer seems to be mostly slapstick moments. (the Us trailers these days seem to think their audience will all be idiots)

The international trailer starts with Peabody adopting Sherman for instance.

was that essentially a "Don't taze me, Bro" joke at the end of the teaser?

EIGHT YEARS after that was a thing?

There's already a crappy live-action Mr. Magoo movie that stars the late Leslie Nielsen.

That trailer was...ugh. It's as bad as I figured it would be, and I won't be surprised if the film tanks.

A sad, unfortunate truth, I'm afraid.

    Mine too.
