Are we playing Baldur's Gate or something now?

 

Well I already got an MP Prowl. And it's pretty fantastic.

But since I do not like repaints or re-decos, I do not have any Bluestreak or Smokescreen. So this could provide me a really cool, very modern take on either one of those characters. Which they will probably make. I love the look of Prowl's car on the 1st page, but I bet the others will looks pretty rad too, but something tells me this'll be a long wait for me.

 

The tables of the IDW verse would disagree.

 

Yeah, Prowl is pretty much "the end justifies the means" type of person.

(Again, which is why I love the comics more than G1 ever since I discovered them. No one pew-pew's because, you know, bad guys! Or .. Good guys!)

Prowl is neutral good.
He is an autobot afterall.
And he is neutral on what methods needed to crush the evil Decepticons, who are pretty much evil still even after the war is over. He may looks evil since he coordinates black ops teams that kill with whatever means necessary, even trying to reverse engineer some of Decepticons cruel techs. Optimus pretty much knows what Prowl's actions are, and he still keeps him close.

 

Yes! IDW's run of the comics is, in my opinion, the greatest thing to ever happen to the Transformers franchise. They really dive deep into the characters. Generally even the bit-part guys are presented as having fully-fleshed personalities.

You've got that the wrong way 'round. Lawful actually means "Orderly" (as it opposes Chaotic), which Prowl certainly is. But him not caring about the morality of the methods needed to defeat (and keep down) the Decepticons is what makes him Neutral on the morality axis (Good vs Evil).

So IDW Prowl is indeed Lawful Neutral. Where as the Dinobots are generally presented as Chaotic Good or Chaotic Neutral. I'd say most of the Lost Light crew (sans Ultra Magnus) are Neutral Good, with a few True Neutrals thrown in. And the DJD are Lawful Evil.

So, is Generation Toy J4ZZ worth getting to fill up the IDW MP scale collection?

However, the choice of alt mode is too similar to the cartoon G1, unlike the design choices made by GCreation.

Why "Rebel"? Wouldnt "Enforcer" or "Constable" be better names?

Although material/feel wise, he isn't very "MP quality" in my opinion.

Looks awesome though.

This is awesome I want this more than any other TF. Prowl is the man. Just doin what needs doin.

 

Flipper would have been good too.

 

The look is fantastic, but I wonder about the transformation.

 

I've expressed my disfavor for the MP size class, but damn. May just have to get this guy. Helps that it's a Cybertronian alt mode. I can fit it into my collection however I want.

I'll keep him on my radar.

This definitely looks like a fantastic take on an already cool design. I do really want an IDW Prowl, but I don't think this will fit super well into my collection. GC's Prime is huge and I imagine this will be as well based on how they size up, so I don't think he'd work for my CHUG stuff. Maybe he'd be better suited to the larger CHUG stuff like Generation Toy's figures?
