Started it's 3rd Series last night, anyone watch it ? Pretty darn good.

Doris really stole the show !

    Bryn - "Where's the salad ?"
Doris - "Here's the salad !" *Sticks up Vickies* :lol

Doris - "If she comes over and asks me where the salad is, ill say, 'fatty, where's my money?"

Can't stand the show or any of the people in it.

Just had to mention that. Now I'll not trouble your thread again. :)

Couldn't get through the first episode of the first series. And the guy just annoys the crap out of (no idea if he's 'Horne' or 'Corden').

Yeah, sorry, this is one of those "great new comedy talents" that are just utter rubbish.

IN MY OPINION. I am sorry :(

This is the last series anyway, so you won't have much longer to put up with it :(

A lot of the new comedy around today seems to be shite, aside from Russell Howard's Good News which I find quite funny. T'other night on Dave was something called Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle. Unfunniest load of toss I'd ever sat through - if it's a Comedy Vehicle he's lost control and tumbled into a ditch. The 'shite' factor goes double for anything on BBC3 these days.

Never watched it, can't stand Rob Brydon. Stewart Lee can fuck off as well.

    ITT: everything new is shit.

Stewart Lee was reasonably funny in the 90s when he worked with the Herring Bloke, but he's cack thesedays.

The Inbetweeners and Fonejacker are the only new comedy things on TV i've laughed at in recent years.

I don't even laugh at those. I'll stick with The IT Crowd (which I fucking loved) & anything else Chris Morris does, kthx. At least then I know they'll be someone I find genuinely funny in it.

Never seen any of the other series, so I'm not going to bother with this one.

Aw. Be not glum. As long as you enjoy it then that's all that matters. I am really surprised though at how many people chimed in here with dislike of it. Makes me wonder how come it got such postive press through the last year or so.
When they did Fist of Fun, Lionel Nimrod, This Morning With Richard Not Judy and had their own Radio One show they were somewhat funny. These days though, not so much.
I remember seeing some of that Comedy Vehicle when it first aired on BBC2 and his sneering and repetitive style just makes me want to beat him with his own shoes.
You mean Michael McIntyre? This sums up perfectly how I feel about him:

Same here. His voice, his face, his 'comedy' - it all makes me just want to go live in a cave if I accidentally encounter him while flipping channels. I quite like QI, but if he's on it I just can't watch the show.

Michael Macintyre = smug bastard. That is all. Rob Brydon seems to have a very limited range - he can basically portray an awkward, uncomfortable, loser and that's pretty much all he does. It's like he's not really acting at all, and belongs in the 'one trick pony' pile with Ricky Gervais.

Comedies of recent years I have enjoyed or am currently enjoying

    - The IT Crowd (as per Draven's thoughts, anything with Chris Morris is an automatic 'win')
    - Still Game
    - Black Books, which I'm revisiting on DVD
    - The Mighty Boosh

For QI ruining ability, he's up there with Sean Lock and Andy Parsons. Andy Parsons just isn't funny, and Sean Lock can't bear the thought that anyone might be smarter than him.

Sean Lock I don't mind, but I agree with you on Andy Parsons. It's the single monotone voice that greates and lack of funny.

Andy Parsons is the bald one with the moustache that's always on Mock the Week, yes? Another 'comedian' that I think we could all do without. If your job relies a lot on your voice then don't have a voice like a robot.
Sean Lock I can handle, but I do agree with Sledge's assessment of him.

Only clicked on this thread by mistake, considering the reviews and friends opinions of Gavin and Stacy, i thought i was the only one in the country that couldn't stand this so-called comedy. As for others mentioned..

Michael Mcintyre - How did this guy get his own show? utter shite.

Mock the Week - Only watch this for Russell Howard and Hugh Dennis, sorry but i can't stand Frankie Boyle (good riddence), comes across as a completely vicious bastard.

QI - I like Stephen Fry, but the show has an air of smugness around it, and who told Alan Davies he's funny?

    As for what's on C4..

Jimmy Carr - not funny, and again another vicious bastard who thinks comedy is making a verbal attack on someone that 99% of the time doesn't deserve it.

Friday/Sunday Night Project - Alan Carr and JLC couldn't be any less funny, either as double act or their own shows.

What i have enjoyed in the last 10 years -

    The League of Gentlemen
    Outnumbered
Little Britain (well the first series anyway, didn't think much of anything after)
Have I Got News For You - not as good as it use to be, but certainly has its moments.
