I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this.
Is it legit?????
YouTube - Gatchaman first look
I'm guessing fake.
No there is a CGI gatchaman film coming out, I believe it's by the same group that did TMNT. Not sure if this is official or not, but something is due soon.
Thats what I thought but now I'm not so sure anymore.
I did a little googleing and came up with screne shots with a ship that looks just like the one in that vid.
I dont know if the shots or the sites are legit but it looks so to me.
felix ip。????: Gatchaman Screenshots 02
I also found the trailer here along with trailers from other films
It's real, but not a teaser trailer. Just some teaser footage to show the aesthetic.
You could always check the official site.
Thanks for the info
Im so looking forward to this movie!!! Dare Da, Dare Da, Dare Da!!!
I really hope the movie is good. BOTP was my favorite childhood show.
I think that's official, and not much news have surfaced since some designs pics surfaced to show how the movie was going to look like.
Am I the only one who thinks that sounds crazy similar to the Autobots theme from the Transformers movie?
Can't wait for this to come out.
That clip reminds me a little to much of that Speed Racer flick.
Both being Anime from roughly the same period, that isn't to surprising, but Gatchaman (which I knew as Eagle Riders) is way cooler.
Eagle Riders was really known as Gatchaman II and Gatchaman F in the original Japanese.
The first Science Ninja Team Gatchaman had to english translations.....Battle of the Planets which ran from 1978 to 1985.
And G-Force: Guardians of Space which first ran in 1986 and then again in 1995 to 1997.
It must have been Gatchaman 2 that I saw then, they definately called it Eagle Riders, and that fella called 'Joe' wasn't in it.
Well Gatchaman 2 and Gatchaman F were rolled into one show when they were translated into 60 [more or less] english episodes and re-named Eagle Riders.
I like the stuff that came out a few years ago, as part of a Japan TV ad campaign. That stuff was a nice blend of CG backgrounds and cel animation.
Why has it got the music from Transformers over it? (specifically from "Optimus vs Megatron") Or is it just place holder music or something?
Looks too much like Speed Racer for my tastes.
I dunno. This trailer has a nice design aesthetic, but just like TMNT, the animation just doesn't have any soul. I'm thinking this is going to be watchable, maybe even pretty enjoyable... but it's never going to be great.
