Hi, guys, here's my new robot GAIGA , the core of GAOGAIGA-FINAL .I love this GGG-FINAL very much . Unfortunately, the toy is too expensive to me! Besides, the proportion of his body is not perfect to me .

so, I decide to make my own Gaogaiga-final. First step, the core of the combine,GAIGA.Here's some pics of finished product.

It looks to be a resculpt of Takara's original Gaigar figure.

Looks great. Looks a bit dark, though, compared to the animation model.

wow, ok, so I get what you did, I can't wait to see the end of this project. How does the different proportions of the Gaigar make Goa Gai Gar look I wonder. Either way, I'm sure it's gonna look AWESOME!

OMG!! That is sweet. I'm getting more of a Universe Leo Prime/Lio Convoy vibe to him, but still its wicked.

Wow... that looks fantastic. I too thought you'd customized a CM's Gohkin version of Gaigar. The scratch building you did to update the DX version is amazing and very accurate.

Gaigar rules! I'm impressed that you're going to go for the whole combiner... will you be making the classic GaoGaiGar or Genesic version?

Well, that's the Genesic Gaigar, and since he mentions Genesic in his opening post...

He doesn't mention "Genesic"... he says "GGG Final", which is the name of the series. Gaogaigar, Star GaoGaiGar, Genesic GaoGaiGar, and GaoFighGar all make their appearance in that series, so there's lots of room for clarification.

As for this being the "Genesic GaiGar", the same GaiGar is used in all three GGG combinations. Literally the same GaiGar (except for that all-white clone that Evil Mamoru uses in the first episodes). This version above resembles the stylistic alterations made to CM's Genesic edition of GaiGar, but that doesn't really dictate what the final combined form will be.

    Just sayin'...

Genesic Gaigar has a frilled mane (and a wider, more organically curved lion face), and different waist boosters than the original Gaigar. Those are the defining features that make it instantly identifiable.

When did they upgrade Gaigar in the anime? Was it after the fight with Mamoru? Because Genesic GGG doesn't show up till the end.

It looks like the same model to me... things like the mane are nothing more than artistic license, IIRC... though there is a surprisingly limited array of reference material online. Care to provide a side-by-side?

That's what Mamoru was doing the whole time during Final. He was upgrading Galeon into its true Genesic form with the energy from the G-Crystal. Along with that came some design differences, mostly the waist boosters/crotch armor for GGGG.

Gah. Still haven't found very many images, and it has been a while since I saw FINAL. For some reason I remembered the slight changes to the lion mane being part of the gattai into Genesic GGG (formed by parts from Gadget Gao).

The fight with Mamoru was with Repli-Gaigar, not the original. The upgrade to Genesic Gaigar took place over the time period between the end of the series, and when the Genesic GaoMachines were released. You never see the upgrade take place. When they find the real Gaigar again, it just is.

Right, right... most of the series Guy uses Phantom Gao. I keep forgetting that the original Galeon doesn't show up till near the end.
