OK so i'm currently in possesion of an HP Media Centre PC, here are the specs:

    HP m7350 specs

Basically, due to issues with the sound card and the general age of the computer (around 6 years now) I have decided it's time for an upgrade. My question is this: Can I purchase the hardware necessary to make this computer run like a new gaming PC or would I just be better off buying a whole new system (budget is £700-800).

    Cheers

From it's specs I say every part needs an upgrade, so it might be better to get a new rig.

6 years is too much of time passed. A completely new machine is needed here.

Do you think £800 is enough?

If you are ordering the parts and building it yourself, then that's probably not bad. It sort of depends on how powerful s gaming pc you want

I spent about $800CAD on building myself a pretty decent gaming machine last Christmas. Shop around and do a bit of research on what you want/need and that should be enough money I'd say, assuming you already have a monitor and all that and just want to build a new tower.

You should totally pick up a GeForce GTX 580 graphic card.
