Being mainly a 360 console player (Don't worry I have love for the PS3!) I dislike that bumblebee avatar.

 

Why's that? They have tons of exclusives. No one else is even coming close.

Dunno. I just traded in some of my Xbox 360 games to get $20 towards FoC. (So when I'll get it, it'll be $40)

I can only speak for myself here, but...

The G1 Optimus model (that will undoubtedly become available to everybody else in a few months as DLC) with G1 Megatron and Shockwave-styled weapons does absolutely nothing for me.

...and to further incentivise my buying from Gamestop is the bonus of dressing up my avatar like Bumblebee? A character anymore that I'm at best indifferent toward, and at worst am dreadfully weary of... the Bumblebee avatar costume might as well be active repellent for me.

Which is to say nothing of the fact that FOC bonuses aside, I actively try to avoid shopping at Gamestop as much as possible, as most of their business practices don't sit well with me; especially the part where their employees are basically trained to annoy the shit out of you. I am genuinely amazed on the rare occurrence when I can walk into one of those stores, buy a product and leave without getting harassed for 15 minutes: "Would you prefer a used copy?", "Would you like to renew your Gameinformer subscription?", "Are you sure you don't want it used?", "Can I interest you in our two-year protection plan?", "...why do you want it new anyway?", "Anything coming out you'd like to pre-order?", "Want this screen-cleaning kit?", "Come on, really? There's *NOTHING* coming out you want to pre-order?"

...and I realize they have to force that garbage on you because if they don't get in their pre-orders and their gameinformer subs, then its their job. The best employees lump it all into one question and don't force it if you decline. But then there's the seedy store manager who *actively* revels in towing the company line and is getting some measure of enjoyment from making your shopping experience as miserable as possible.

So, I pre-order from Amazon. I got a pre-order bonus I'm way more excited about in the G2 Bruticus skin and I get to enjoy release-date delivery. Fall of Cybertron will be in my mailbox waiting for me when I get home from work. No muss, no fuss.

 

What do you mean? They are still giving the playable g1 optimus and shockwave, and megatron guns. This is an additional bonus to that not one or the other
