    Howdy!

My nephews are coming to visit. So I'm pulling out the deluxe TFs and DVDs for them to play with.

Are their any games that are good for kids this age. Their attention spans are tiny but I'd like a sit down memory or board game. The boys are 2 years old and almost 5.

I'm setting up an art center where they can paint and create with popsicle sticks too.

    All thoughts are welcome.

Honestly at that age you can probably give them ANYTHING safe and they would play with it. Especially things they aren't supposed to play with. If I was you, i wouldn't use paint, I would think more like crayons, because paint will get everywhere lol, on them and everywhere near.

Chutes and ladders, Hide and seek (the two year old will likely only hide in the same place every time...but still fun.) Side walk chalk is fun, Bubbles, take them to a park.

    Have fun.

I would say hide and seek, and perhaps a visit to a park as well. I wish my brother would hurry up and have some kids so I could turn them to the "dork" side by watching my TF, GI Joe, and other 80's show DVD's with them.

    Bubbles is a great idea!
Forts from couch cushions is also a go.

I realize anything will do, its the fact I need to keep the occupied for 48 hours that the problem.

    Thanks!

Yup... bubbles are a hit with the younger crowd. Anything arts & craftsy is something my kids (same ages) enjoy. Paints/crayons/play-dough/etc. Nothing wrong with a DVD or two to give yourself a break as well. With the age you are dealing with, just about anything will entertain them as long as you make it fun. Hell, my kids will occupy themselves for a long time with a cardboard box at times.

I would say Wii bowling, but a toy train set works well, as are any train transformers like the JRX set.

My sons are 2 and 4. They like bubbles, puzzles, and Legos. They like TV and DVDs a little TOO much...it's okay occasionally, but don't plop them down in front of it all day. Boys that age have insane amounts of energy, so either have a place outdoors or take them somewhere where they can run and jump and yell and let off steam.

Kill the kitty, destroy the dog, bash the bird, mince the mouse, and an all time favorite, hammer the hamster.
