Hey guys, so heres a fun lil question. What are some games that you guys play that you wouldn't normally play? Like if you don't play a particular genre or even game system, but one game makes the exception to it.

For example, with me, I don't typically play JRPGs, but Ive gone through and played the crap out of Chrono Trigger, and enjoyed the experience in Xenogears, even finished the game! The original Final Fantasy Tactics and Tactics Ogre as well!

Lumines was a puzzle game that I found myself going back to playing every now and then, I dont normally do puzzle games, but will play games with puzzles in them. Portal I think belongs in this category too.

I don't know if this really counts, but SSBB is the only fighting game that I play.

Games like Grand Theft Auto, and Saints Row are terrible to me... however, Saints Row The Third, I am having a blast! I went back and tried 2 and some GTA's, and... nope, didn't do it for me.

First, I agree that Lumines is the standout puzzle game I enjoy. Second, I don't really like racing games, but I do enjoy the Wipeout series. Generally the music and atmosphere keeps my interest.

FPS games make me motion sick but, I played this game to death with no issues.

Seconded on Wipeout. The only racing game I bother to buy.

I'm not a fan of racing games but the Motorstorm series have the only racing games that I'll play and have a blast on, especially Apocalypse.

Arcana Heart 3. I play a lot of fighting games but I usually use the guys and they're usually big and burly so a game with nothing but girls wouldn't give me those characters. I just find it fun. I have a blast with Dorothy.

Also the Drawn to Life games. I'm terribad at platformers and I don't find them very fun either but I just love Drawn to Life. It just absorbs me. The first one anyway. I hate the ending to the second one so I have a hard time getting into it since I know
    everybody dies
in the end. I hate that ending with a passion. It's well done for what it is but what it is sucks.

I would love to be involved in them, but I hate the "episode" theme they have. I want a complete and full experience, so I wait for them to release the entire "season" before I even consider playing them.

Same with me. Though I'm sure Fall of Cybertron will join its prequel in the category of "only shooter I play".

I can third on wipeout. Only had it on the n64 but it was a blast. /edit - I take that comment back. Best stand out game for me was magi-nation for game boy color. Cross between pokemon and magic the gathering. Great look to the game as well.
