Flamepanters "ultimate edition" thread got me thinking. What games need a next gen redo! I can think of a few games that come to mind that I personally enjoyed back inthe day on my PSone.

    1. Assult Rigs: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assault_Rigs

This was vehicle assult at its finest. Based in the future and replaces real sport with a virtual one. It was great fun and I always loved playing his game with its trippy graphics. The soundtrack was catchy and the replayability factor was always nice.

An updated version with online play would be a welcome edition to any console.

    2. Crazy Ivan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krazy_Ivan

This was the first mech battle game to grace the PSone. It was avaliable on the demo disk included with first release PSones. I must have played this demo a thousand times. This was pure fun and I thought the basic story was great. It was pretty short but enjoyable.

Maybe just release this as DLC on the PSP/PS3.

    4. Die Hard Trilogy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Die_Hard_Trilogy

This is another Gen 1 Demo disk game I played to death. I think out of all of the releases and sequals, the PSone version was the best. I mean from the one liners to the increasing degree in difficulty to the inclusion of 3 diffrent game styles. This was an AWSOME game.

This game could be redone and mate a M rated game so we can hear the whole "Yippee Ki Yay Mother #$&*@#". The Wii, I feel could use this game honestly. Make it as it was, Die Hard = 3rd person shooter, Die Hard 2 = Light Gun game, and Die Hard 3 = Driving game. It was a formula that game the original great value and made for a damn fun game.

I have to bring this up a lot, but just like in Flamepanthers thread, Symphony of the Night. Get a higher resolution, more animation, maybe have the composer come back do some more tracks. Have Richter and Maria maybe have actual full storys and equipment. Add a couple new areas and rearrange the old ones. Of course add some niftier effects.

Sorry, really big fan of this game!

    Two words.

    Chrono Trigger

I'd also give a nod to Megaman, the original franchise that is. It's been so long since Capcom took their original version seriously, he's still widely popular and it's not hard to update him for a modern system and gaming generation.

Kid Icarus needs to be nex gen-ed. But I swear, if it’s anything like the abomination known as Rygar and Castelvania (in 3d they are just not good and I know they weren't Nintendo made but they are games I liked on the NES) I’ll be pissed because it’s easily one of my favorite NES games.

And I want to see a real Earthworm Jim. That was another sidescroller I loved
and it was clunkified on the 64.

Either make next-gen updates or sequels of:

    NES:
    -Metal Gear
    -Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
    -Contra

    Nintendo 64:
    -007 Goldeneye
    -Extreme G

    PlayStation:
    -Marvel vs Capcom
-The Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver

    PC:
    -Wolfenstein 3D
    -Wolfenstein: Spear of Destiny

    Sega Saturn:
    -Virtual On

    Playstation 2:
    -R.A.D. (ask Kickback about this one:thumbs2: )
-Zone of the Enders (a third one / sequel to the second runner)
    -War of the Monsters

    I'm thinking of more...

Dear god yes these would fucking rock! oh and I would throw my two cents in and add: Final Fantasy Tactics and Bushido Blade for the PlayStation I like what I have seen of the PSP port but I want to see a whole lot more done with it. Also G.I. Joe for the NES.

For the sake of stating 'not as obvious' games...
    • Metal Warriors (SNES)
    • Super Baseball Simulator 1.000 (SNES)
Two underdistributed, undermarketed games that are chock-full of greatness and in need of sequels.

i was gonna make a thread like this after reading the other thread and a article at IGN but you beat me to it, so here's my list:

    - Tetris....one specially for the Wii....imagine trying to turn and move the pieces at level 8+

    - Punch-Out...hell yeah with the cell shading...bring back Mac, even Ref Mario too

    - Mega Man/Mega Man X...What they did with MM/MMX for the PSP was good (havent played it but heard it was), where's the rest
