I think this must be the first gameplay footage from Glu Mobile's Transformers : G1 Awakening for Apple iPhone.

Check-out the video @ YouTube - Transformers G1: Awakening iPhone Game Exclusive Video Preview!

Also, few more screenshots have been released as well @ PocketGamer

My personal opinion is that the iPhone Game Battle Cut-Scenes look cheesier than the normal mobile version Game Battle Cut-Scenes.
I'm a huge fan of the Mobile Version of the Transformers : G1 Awakening.
The game did justice to the G1 Cartoon Series.

The MEGA difference between the iPhone version and the Mobile version is that the iPhone version can play kick-@$$ Background Music and Soundbytes at the same time.

I'm hoping to see a similar Movie Version by Glu mobile, because both Transformers movie mobile games are not very good when comparing with other mobile games such as "Prince Of Persia" and "Superman-Batman : Heroes United".

    All-in-all, Good job Glu :)

Note : The graphics of the iPhone version are Cel-Shaded.

If it works on an Iphone it'll work on the ipod.

Considering the graphics and speed the iphone can handle that does look like a pretty lazy/sucky port though.

Too bad I despise turn based controls on video games...should have been an action game.

The play looks boring and unexciting. The 80s theme is nice but that's about it. Pass.

If I'm to be brutally honest, that's one exceptionally weak-arsed iPhone port. The whole thing just seems sluggish and lacklustre in terms of playability, not to mention that the artwork and animation could have been so much better. And don't get me started on the music - where's the upbeat tempo and pacing of the original theme tune? Probably consigned to the same place that any sense of excitement this title might have engendered... :\

Given the simple fact that Glu's mobile version was actually a lot of fun, and worked within the confines of its target platforms pretty well, this looks to be a thumbs-down. Shame.

Well. To be fair. I think the guy who was playing in the video had minimal grasp of the game. He could have transformed, which would give him the mobility to lead frenzy into the woods for a ambush. (+2 field) And any one who played advance wars should know that frenzy has a field +1 advantage from attacking from the grass onto road terrain.

Anyone remember "the search for megatron" Transformers Energon Strategy flash game Cartoonnetwork.com had years ago. That was a cool strategy take on transformers. Skorponok, divebomb, cruelock, and battle ravage were your team.

Also as demonstrated in the video its really inaccurate to play games with your fingers do to the wide area they cover compared to a stylus pen.
