    Heyas...

I've also been working on a custom Galvatron from Springer.
On my Galvatron, I replaced the legs with TFTM Jazz's setup.
I added a ball joint to the arm, and then constructed a cannon using a drop tank from a 1/48 F-16 and a hand from a junker G1 Cyclonus...
Please excuse some of the bad paint apps...I had to get some base colors down to help me visualize him better as I was building..

Now his alt mode is a little different...I know it's wierd, but for some reason it is starting to grow on me, as I haven't turned him back into a robot yet...obviously there is alot of painting to do, but again, I needed some of the color in place so I could see what went where...
Another ball joint was added into his...um...ass, and the cannon just sort of naturally fits right where it is supposed to.

It's an alien space cannon thingy right??? I can't decide if I like those insect type legs enough to permanently incorporate them into the figure...right now I can still choose to omit them and go in a different direction...they are on ball joints, so they would fold neatly along the sides of his legs in robot mode. Those jet engine lookin thingys are also jointed so they too provide for some interesting positioning in both modes.
I dunno...I'm just putting it up here to get some feedback...I think I'm starting to have some "customizers block".
Again...please note I realize the paint is all jacked up in different places on the figure...he's still a WIP...I'm afraid people are going to see incomplete paint apps and think I'm a drunk or something...

I really like what you've done here! The paint apps look good and the Jazz legs actually don't look too bad at all (a little round/chunky in the thigh area, but still nice). The alt mode is pretty cool and I like the odd insect-type legs, even though I think it could work without them.

Keep up the great work, man!

I love the robot mode. I think a more evil looking Galvy head would help a lot. As for the alt mode, the way it is now, I think it's...odd. Turbines = eyes, cannon = nose. All I see is a weird face or something. Not to mention the insect legs. Maybe I'm the one who's drunk right now, lol. Seriously, I would ditch the insect legs. Like others have said, he doesn't need them. Also, what paint you have done so far look pretty good to me. Just needs a few paint apps.

Overall, you did great work, man. Keep it up! :)

Thanks everyone! Yes...I'm going to spend more time with Galvy this afternoon and start touching up paint apps...people seem pretty evenly split about the "insect" legs in his alt mode...I'm still rummaging through my parts boxes collecting bits and pieces that could be used for Galvatron as accessories and gimmicks, so there's still some potential...His alt mode kind of reminded me of BW Rampage a little bit, so I think for me, the little insect legs seemed like a natural step...I can't decide though which is one of the main reasons I posted him up before he was finished...so I could get your take on him...
Thanks for all the kind words though!

Amazing job. This one is great. Leave the legs on, he's a big cannon, needs a lot of support.

You did a sweet job making this. I'm not a real fan of the spider legs, but hey you had your reasons to do so.

I love the TFTM Jazz legs, they work pretty well for Galvatron. Looks like he's coming together quite nicely! As for the spider legs, I actually kind of like them. If you can find a way to incorporate them into bot mode, I'd say leave them. On the other hand, the alt mode looks really good even without them! So that's my two cents - if you use them in both modes it's a keeper, otherwise I think he looks fine without. Can't wait to see him done!
