I needed to make one of these for myself since the new Classics one is meh. I used Jins methos of using the energon Megs (which after reeeeeally close inspection must have meant to be this figure). Removed the wing section and filled in the back. I wasn't happy with just a turny headso I rigged his head with a gundam ball joint for full range movement. I still wasn't happy with his crown so I removed it completely and sculpted my own to better match the comics and show. The feet have also been tweeked to come to points and flatten in the back. The final thing i did was create a light up canon using a pen, reading light, and the shoulder guns from megs. the pieces used for the canon made are from a Kid Connection MARS playset.

very cool. The treads disconnect in bot mode? Where can you buy the kid connection mars playset? Is there a link of what the playset looks like?

    :D  Already on order!

Thanks for liking Galvs all. As far as the kid connection set goes they were exclusives to Wal Mart (I think its the Sams Choice of Toys). I'll take a shot of mine so you guys know what to look for. Also they are on closeout right now so you might want to check the clearence section of your local Wally World. i snagged my last 4 for $3 each!

The only thing I'd have done different would've been to leave the treads hanging over the back of his shoulders (I like to avoid parts-forming where possible!) but I really like what you've done. Welcome aboard.

I completely agree with this. Great custom, but I think he would look better with the treads integrated.

I had a similar comment on Jin's version. Even besides from the parts-forming issues, I think the treads would give his back and shoulders some visual interest and echo the small wing-like protrusions that G1 Galvatron had in the cartoon sometimes. Also, in robot mode, the joints on top of his shoulders look empty and unfinished with nothing attached to them.

But I don't mean to detract from a sweet custom. Nice work!

Classics Galvatron is neat but this is a true Classics Galvatron. Great in both modes.

I'll take a pic a show you what he looks like with the treads on. IMO it looks horrible and very off setting. They throw off the smoothness of his design. If any body is familiar with Rob Leifelds art on the X books way back thats the effect it has.
The pieces i used are removeable so they can go on an off at will I just preferred them off.
(BTW this is one of the few pieces I kept for myself)

Ugh. Liefeld sucks, for the life of me I can't imagine why he is/was so popular. The guy can't draw feet!

    Noooooooooo....!!!

I've been doing "galvatron" searches for the last few days on Ebay looking for this thing, lol!

Honestly, for a work of art like this, I'd keep it too.
