This is my first repaint. So I was watching Vange1us's review of rotf voyager megatron today and I got to thinking that he would work out as a pretty nice galvatron. So I picked one up earlier today and painted it. It still needs some touch up and needs some more silver and a little bit of orange to even it up a bit. I think it turned out really awesome.

You did that all in one day? Did you take a speed painting class somewhere? Looks good already, but with the added details you're talking about, he'll be GREAT! Yeah, and what color purple is that?

Well I had never really done a repaint so I didn't have whatever paints they are really done in but what I did have was a can of Montana goldcan spray paint. ( Montana spray paints are often used for graffiti [ they are really awesome spray paints with a huge line of awesome colors]) The color is called blue velvet.

Nice! I hear that stuff is a bit expensive though. I have a friend who used to do grafitti and he's spend hundreds just on paint. I'm curious as to how durable it is on the plastic. If it holds up well, it's definately worth it.

its about $10 a can and its very tough paint. I was worried that the paint might be "gummy" as spray paint tends to be on some plastics but it worked wonderfully. it hardened up the softer plastics a bit and it hase a really nice even coating its some pretty high quality paint.

Looks really nice in purple actually. I'd consider that instead of a straight up silver repaint for sure.

I was thinking of repainting one, but like you I havent done it before. I was wondering how hard was it keeping track of all the pieces and the disassembling/reassembly
