Well since my good buddy Jason (sixpointsinspace) like'd the work I did on his Thuggers he commissioned me to make him a Galvatron out of a WFC Megatron. So here we go:
Poor Megatron has no idea what's coming.

After several days of soaking in an alcohol bath to remove the paint:

    "No disassemble Number Five! "

Now I can't get a real good picture of this for some reason but this gives you a nice idea of what I've done to make Meg look like Galv.

I apologize for the crappy pictures, but I just suck at it and my camera sucks too. One of these days I'll get something that'll work way better and make up for my lack of ability to take a good photo.

wow. did u make that helmet yourself? Very awesome. also i had no idea u could do that alcohol thing to remove the paint so completely. except now your without a decepticon symbol. More work for u this way i think. But nothing a decal cant fix. Superb job dude

Yeah but I had bought a bunch anyways for some other projects so I've got plenty of Autobot and Decepticon decals.

How did you manage to get the head apart? Mine was like completely glued together when I made my galvatron.

Also be careful when soaking clear parts in alcohol, it makes clear plastic brittle. Although I think you will be fine since none of the clear parts on megatron are part of a joint, just be cautious when screwing them back onto the torso part and legs.

BTW I love your helmet crest design! :D

Just took out the little screw and it came apart just fine. only glue I encountered was on the gun itself.

Might I suggest shaving off a little bit of plastic on the inner thighs, it allows for more inward movement.

nice start, but beware: soaking plastic in alcholo for several days could badly damage the plastic!

With the Macro setting on you might just want to hold the button half way down for a second or 2 before taking the picture. That should give it enough time to focus before fully pushing the button to take the picture. If you're using your phone I know I have to tap my screen first so it knows what to focus on before taking the pic. Good luck.

yep tried all that, I think it's because the color is so light it's having trouble picking it up. I'll try again when it's got some color on it.

easy: focus another piece, then move the cam within the focus is still, now look on your display when pic is sharp like you want, push the button fully down, that's it :)

Looking great! As for your camera, you might fiddle with it, and check if the "macro' (spelling?) view on your camera is on. Mine wasn't for awhile, so it wouldn't focus at ALL.

Look cool. I used the same mold to do a Galvatron. I really just painted him purple and grey. I used some clay to make the crown thing on his head, but it doesn't look nearly as good as the one you have up. Can't wait to see more!
