Asking as a potential buyer here, one who's been looking for a G2 Superion or Menasor at my local Ross for a while: is G2 Menasor worth the full price of 100$?

Techbically yes, you are getting 4 deluxes, a legends and a voyager. But I have to say Nope, and I love the thing.

    Get it for around $70.

I love the set, but $100 is way more than a lot of places. I've seen it discounted at a few different sites. $70 is around the lowest I've seen it for, but if you search around you can find it. G2 Superion sometimes goes even lower, to around $60.

And with these prices, clearly this is the CW set we're talking about :D
Good thing you're not going for the original G2 Stunticon set, unless you have an extra 25-30 grand lying around.

I think he's awesome, but I agree with everyone else, that $100 is too much. Look around, you'll find a deal.

They were both available at Ross for $60.

He's available on eBay from multiple sellers for just under $75. If you're buying locally a fair price is 10% below that. Or certainly that same price.

Maybe at Ross near you, 'cause the Ross stores where I live never get that kind of cool stuff o_O

I mean, OP is talking about getting him from Ross. He's apparently $60 at Ross. I'm confused why OP is even mentioning $100.

He was $40 at TJ Maxx and Marshall's. Still didn't get him, though. The only figure I actually like in the set is Dragstrip (whom I do admittedly adore, but not $40 adore).

Alright, to clarify... I haven't found him at Ross. I've looked at ross, and none of them near me have him, so I'm going to other sources like Amazon, because no stores near me have him. Trust me, I'd jump at a chance to get it for around 40$, but literally nowhere near me has it at that price. As for buying it on Ebay goes, I'm kinda wary about that.

I paid full price without any regrets. I do think you can find it cheaper now however.

Great CW set - that dipped to $29.99 last fall Catch-all Combiner Wars G2 Menasor set availability thread - not worth the full price of $100 and can definitely still be obtained for less. Good hunting.

Target : Expect More. Pay Less.

Don't waste your time looking at ross, those sets are long gone.

$40? I should try looking around at some of my local (the stores you listed).

Yeah, I definitely mean the CW set. I've no desire to own such an expensive collectible item like the original set to be honest, not at the price it goes for.

I'd say it is worth it at full price for sure. I love mine!

But knowing how cheap it has been, makes people say it is not worth as much. Of course get it for as cheap as possible!

    Ebay:
I believe I got my set on Amazon for around $65, but that might be because I had a gift card.
If you price out each piece, ($10 legends, $15 for each deluxe, $25 for the voyager) you're looking at $95. The current Target price ($80) isn't too bad, if you want it. Plus, if you have a RedCard, you can get it for $76.

If your options are "wait for it to pop back up at Ross or Burlington after they're LONG gone and there is no chance of this, especially considering (granted, anecdotal evidence isn't REALLY evidence) how many people have never seen it in the wild" or "just drop $80 on it now", go with the latter.

Ah, damn, Target. Didn't even consider that they might have it in my area. Never even seen one of the CW box sets at it, though.

None of my local stores seem to have them in stock currently, which is a bit of a shame but not a big issue. And it's 79$ right now, meaning for the same 100$ price I could get Offroad, too. Sweet.

Edit: Nevermind, Offroad is out of stock.
