I'm going to pre-order the G2 Bruticus. No way I'm paying $100+ for the game accurate SDCC Version. Any no way I'm paying $60+ for the crappy retail colors. $60 for a good G2 repaint hits all the right buttons.

 

But Amazon.com doesn't send items to Russia!

After careful consideration I have decided to hold to my preorder on BBTS for the entire Bruticus wave.

I am fine with the retail colors and this gives me a chance to do something i have never done before open a case of Transformers figures.

Passing on Optimus as I am way past being over the movie aesthetic , that said i am happy for those who want the figure who can now get it at a cheaper price.

 

What? They'll ship these to the UK, and at a very reasonable price too.

 

I might get a second retail Blast Off, just because I think that mold looks amazing and the retail colors are nice. With the money I'm saving it'll still be the same as if I just bought them at retail.

Can they do both Ruination and Baldigus? Isn't the only real difference between the two the combiner kibble, which the figure doesn't have? They could change the color of the head and hands but I assume because of the molding process they'd have to do that via paint apps, which wouldn't work terribly well.

Also, Battle Gaia. And I bet Takara's version will have G1 accurate Vortex. Which would be nice.

 

Now that price for a Bruticus set is one I can live with (no way is the game accurate deco worth 200 bones). This whole situation just left a bad taste in my mouth so I doubt I'll pick up any FoC figures (aside from Shockwave).

As for Jetwing Prime, cool price. I wonder why it's so low. I'm guessing they may have skimped on the paint apps to save on costs--similar to what they're doing with the new MP Optimus Prime mold for the upcoming Hasbro release; the trailer doesn't have a single drop of silver paint compared to the Takara version.

The jetwing backpack will probably be without any silver paint either, and just be unpainted gray plastic. (I highly doubt these are old Takara/Asia-Hasbro stock, unless they bothered to repackage all the old figures in English language boxes).

That said, Jetwing Prime is an awesome figure and an amazing display piece. He just dominates my Bayverse display as the eye is immediately drawn to the huge winged jetpack. (Luckily I got him as a Birthmas present from the missus last December, bought at Japanese retail with special holiday pricing. XD)

I feel the same. I have never pre-ordered a transformer before, and to get this whole set for less than expected with free shipping. I'm all over it. Is it set for Sept, or October? So I know to have enough funds in my bank account

 

The skeptical part of me is waiting for this to be a mistake somehow... Wrong listing... Premature listing... Something bad... But I couldn't resist the deal if it isn't.


-ZacWilliam, would still consider the SDCC one if it actually is available for more than 2 seconds, but this seems a wonderful "saftey net" if it isn't too good to be true...

 

Never been big on the G2 color scheme, but for that price I'm all over it.

 

We shall see. I've never ordered from Amazon US but my DOTM Voyager Ratchet was a US import...

OK, it does ship but the wonderful website doesn't convert to GBP. $144.91 converts to in pounds? Is it around £80-£90?
