quick and dirty mod/combine of two of the options. What do people think?

EDIT: Put more work into it. I LOVE this version.

 

Ehhh...I think the pipe antennae work better with the head they were originally on.

 

I combined 5 & 6 (couple posts up) and did some additional tweaking with it, comparing it to Menasor G1 head without copying it. I submitted it to G1uppers as feedback.

 

like the bottom right smokestack version, Encline....not too excited about the revision. Hope this stays on schedule. Don't listen to the negative vibes...hehehe  

 

need more chins

the large v head crests and mouth guards look too similar to gundam design than animated,the one with smoke stacks feel closer to animated style, but it's too busy/crowed with both smoke stacks and crest, maybe reduce or completely remove the v crest.

 

Bottom middle or top right are my preference.

 

I'm digging the 3rd one in the first row and the 2nd on in the second row. Either way, I await the preorder.

At this point....bottom middle looks the best.

 

Those heads look bad-ass but I think the inherent problem is that Animated is about character more than about simply being badass. Like when you look at Animated Wreck Gar, Prowl or Bulkhead, they don't even need to say a word. You know what their personalities are like based on their faces.

The Botcon Stunticons are the exact same way. Each head (even the repaints) still scream character. Heck, even the small detail of the tiny pencil mustache on the Jazz head does so much to differentiate Dead End.

So, if I could offer up some constructive criticism, the G1upper guys first and foremost need to figure out what kind of character Animated Menasor is and from there figure out what he's gonna look like.

 

#3 is the best. IMHO they should go with that one.

 

None of them look 'mean' enough....they all kinda look snooty

 

No matter what face I look at, I see an angry Prowl. I. Do. Not. See. Menasor. At. All

The 3rd or 6th head. The others don't look evil enough, or the faceplate's too Prime-esque honestly.

The 3rd's probably closes to match G1 Menasor, and the 6th looks pretty badass.

Not quite as Animated as they should be though TBH.

As for character... Menasor should look menacing and damned pissed off.

 

this right here. this set is really going to come down to the head, even if the figures connect together great or even a little so so, if the head just looks off it will not look right.

they need to find a character style to fit in with the story we got from botcon for the stunticons.

 

It might even be wise for them to include two or three heads now that I think about it.

One for the crowd that wants him to simply look bad-ass G1 and one that is more true to the Animated style.

 

Wait a minute....is this going to be an add on piece to the Botcon Animated Stunticons? Wow.

I mean they're all okay. But none of them says 'Menasor' to me.
