You know what else never gets old? Throwing out high-ball guesses, or saying you wiould pay $200 for something that the manufacturer was thinking about selling for $100. Then they see that people will pay $200 and up the prices. I know the guys behind G1Uppers wouldn't do such a thing, but the practice still needs to stop. Tell them you'll pay $50 for it  .

So I totally agree with you, but you will notice since the crazy $100 price on the herc pieces people stopped doing it as much lol.

We are the market folks, this is where market research is done and when you got a bunch of fools willing to pay more than they should for something what do you think will happen? You get the highest price mentioned like we did with ExG. That figure should have been $85 in NA tops. If TFC didn't jack up the price BBTS sure had no issues doing it.

 

Even though I don't collect animated toys, I would love to see the stunicons redecoed in their G2 colors and released as a club exclusive. This set is hot and the people at TFCC would be dumb not to do this. Plus, this would give G1uppers a chance to use their upgrade mold again for the G2 release.

 

And TFSource, And Ace Toy Store, and Toy Arena , And Captured Prey And ......

This is not a combiner, a combiner implies full robots. This is something that allows 5 individual bots (sold seperately) to merge and form Menasor. Let's keep things in check.

But how encline keeps defending a high price I think we are looking at something that will be close to the $200 range (le sigh)

 

I'm tired of the price debate. When I see pictures I will know if it is worth the asking price until then, point seems mute.

 

I don't own the BotCon set, but I'll buy one of these anyways if the price is justifiable to me.

I think $100 is pretty fair for Exgraver. It's a very large and well made robot that feels very high quality and TFC is backing any issues people are having with it by replacing parts for free. It's pretty on par with third party prices anyway. I mean, $80 for TAW sword set, now that is pricey. Do I own it, yes, two of em in fact. All of Perfect Effects stuff is a bit on the steep side for the amount of plastic you get. Is it awesome? Yes. Do I own all of their stuff, yes (minus a few TAW swords). But I think it's high time people get over the price. It's comparable to other third party products on the market.

*edit* I just read that bit in the TFC Hercules Megathread. There are guys, who are bored, doing a misinformation campaign. You can't really trust what they're saying... You actually have to read the last 20 pages (currently) to see what is real & what isn't.

Something like that would get Front Paged if it was true.
