$40 is average, but the other parts will cost you and completing this figure will eventually bring the total near the $100 mark.

Check out darkov's thread, I think he is making repro parts for the radar dish/ machine gun accessories.

EDIT: well... I know someone is doing it but I can't find the link. Trypticon has a ton of parts so even if you buy it for 40... you might want to reconsider and buy complete.

IMHO, unless that price comes with at least SOME of the accessories, that is too much.

Buying a completely stripped toy with so many accessories will usually cost you more to complete than just buying a complete one to begin with. Look at what people charge for parts these days and add it up. There's about 19 parts (depending on how you count them) and the average asking price is probably $10 each (Some less, Full Tilt's gun way more...). That's maybe $190 for parts (not including all the shipping costs) plus your $40. You should be able to buy a complete one for $230.

    Seriously,
If you're planning on having a complete Trypticon one day, I'd just save up and get him complete strait of the bat. If not, at least get one that comes with Full Tilt's small gun... or that thing will haunt you for a long time...

I would also recommend hunting down one that has most, if not all, of the parts. That's what I did for mine. Totally recommend the extra cost, the accessories all together can cost more than the toy they came with some of the time.

So what are the chances of this guy being reissued or knocked off? Seems almost everyone else from that year has now come out!

Never say never but I haven't heard anything about it. You could get the BW2 Gigastorm but its missing most of the trypticon accessories.

This mold was reused in the Japanese BW2 line, so it may be unavailable. Then again, the Seacons appeared in that line too. So nobody really knows 100%.

I cant agree more with the idea of saving up fpr a complete, or mostly complete -- including Full Tilt's gun (!) version of this figure. If completeness isnt of any concern to you at all, $40 still feels kinda high. I know and understand the inflated nature of the value of our toys, but $40 still feels high.

*It may not be a high price for a naked Trypticon, but it just feels like it to me.
