You should. My brother has the original G1 Trypticon. The one nose-piece is broke off, but other than that it's in good condition.

If you know where to find a decent G1 Trypticon, then by all means... GO FOR IT!!!

Trypticon is highly recommended, especially if you have Stunticons, Combaticons or other smaller G1 'cons to set up on and around him! :)

He's fairly cheap if you don't care about the accessories

Get him. He's a brilliant toy, and has been since the day i got him; my favourite G1 toy that I own.

As has been mentioned he is especially worth getting if you own either the Stunticons or Combaticons, since if you can get him complete he comes with pieces that will allow you to attach Motormaster & Onslaught to him in city mode, which looks badass as hell.

I'm still hoping they re-issue Trypticon. He was the only citybot I owned as a kid, and now, ironically, he's the only citybot I DON'T have.

He's awesome, no ifs ands or buts. He's very solid in all of his modes, pulling off the giant walking dino, heavily armed mobile fortress, and Decepticon city all equally well, and in my opinion better than Metroplex. His integration with his partners is slick, especially how the tank components plug into the walking drive mechanism to provide rotating turrets.

Really, he's everything I love about Citybots, in one package.

I waited 22 years to finally get him. And boy, was it worth the wait! My best birthday gift I received for my 33rd birthday. Get him. Get him now!

Getting Trypticon warranted me to get a Metroplex to go with him.

Trypticon and Metroplex are always depicted as equals/opposites, but toy-wise Trypticon is so much better it's not even funny. He's a lot bigger, for starters. :)

I loved my G1 Trypticon. If you can find a good one, then get it. Now if I can get my mother to dig mine out of her storage.
