$400 Encore Fort Max? What are you basing THAT on? If I recall, I bought Brave Max for $150 shipped to the US.

Alright I will see if I can make a logic assumtion on this and by all means I could be wrong.

400 was a bit much perhapps but I cant see a Max reissue under 300. I base this on a few things.
    *His size,
    *Thougher economic times,
*More expensiv plastic. Prices on plastic has gone up as far as I know
    *More acc then Brave max,
*Smaller production run, there is no way they would make so many Fort Maxs as the other bots.

Im just guessing as we all, but I dont see a reissue max for a 150-200- I say easy $300-400 easy if he gets reissud and that is a big IF.

What Takara could do is to have like a 1-2 month preorder period were ppl pre-order a reissue Fort Max. That pre-order is binding and none cancelling. This way they know they will sell off so many as ordering. They could have a calculater with a price on it. The more who preorder the further down the price go. I think most here understand how I think with this.

    just my thoughts.

I want a Trypticon or Scorp so I can get a base as well. Either way would be nice to find one not too rediculously priced.

Oh, and props to the OP, that site seems pretty cool for finding some pieces.

Makes sense. I could see them offering Grand Max to e-Hobby to up the demand. I know I'd preorder both the day they announced it!

yeah, downside is the Grand max would be a hefty price tag on it. The Omega repaint is double in price. But then again. lets say a reissue max is for 350 and 700 for a e-hobby Grand max. I would so pay that in a hearth beat.

    only tiem will tell.

Reissue Trypticon? - I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
Scorponok? - No, I have one in good condition already.
eHobby Black Zarak? - Maybe, as long as the price isn't too nuts.
Grand / Fort Max? - No, I've never seen the appeal.

Are any these likely this year? It doesn't seem likely if the other large Encores shelfwarmed.

I was just about to write, "Sure, they can reissue Trypticon, the mold was used in BW2 just a few years ago". Then I realized it was more like TEN years ago.

Where is my cane, you smartaleck whippersnappers?

I don't see how the fake Metroplexes in Encore looking boxes affects a Trypticon release, that Metroplex garbage happened because the bootleg MPlexes already existed and they just did a box switch.

Well crap, they had one the other day :banghead:
They do still have a Scorponok though. A little pricey at $224.

If they had a decent reissue Metroplex, I'd go that route. That site has them used for $85. I can get a new reissue for $85.+ shipping from BBTS.

I wonder why that Scorp's so pricey? I just bought mine a few months ago from them and the description was NEAR MINT (which it is). The only thing missing was a FastTrack arm. I paid $185. I can't imagine that arm justifies a $39 increase...especially when the entire figure isn't in the same condition.

It would be absolutly great if there was an Encore Trypticon, bit I also think that there should be an Encore Skorponok and Fort Max.

I purchased one a couple of years ago at the flea market. It was filthy with no accessories and the electronics did not work. I traded it away. I would love to purchase an Encore re-issue of Trypticon.

I never had Trypticon or Scorponok so I'd buy an Encore/new reissue of either in a heartbeat. I picked up Metroplex and Omega Supreme after awhile and am glad I picked up both since they're so much neater once I got to one in my hands. I can understand if Takara would be a bit hesitant in reissuing either Trypticon or Scorponok (or any Combiner molds that are still viable beyond Bruticus) considering the bigger bots have seemed to linger at the online sites I peruse.

Gigastorm can be purchased for under $100 new. I don't have gigastorm and have no intention of getting him since I've had my trypticon since I was a kid...but Trypticon is easily in my top 5 favorite G1 decepticons. awesome figure
