So I recently picked up two G1 Tracks junkers to try make a complete one only to discover that the wings are attached differently to the arms of my two Tracks junkers. One version has a peg/pin wing attachment and the other version has a screw attachment. See the pic below. My question is which version is vintage and which version is re-issue? Or was there a running change to the G1 Tracks mold? One Tracks figure was stamped Takara/Japan so I'm pretty sure it isn't a re-issue. The other Tracks figure was stamped Takara but it didn't have a Japan (or China) stamping so I wasn't sure if it was a re-issue or not. Anybody know which way the wing is attached on the vintage version (or the re-issue version)? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the info! Anybody with a vintage one? Can you tell me what yours has? Anybody with a vintage one with pins?
Does the one without 'Japan' have really crappy paint on the roof/doors? If so, it's probably a Euro Gold Box Classics version.
No, the one without Japan looked pretty nice - the stickers looked great too - that's why I thought it might be a re-issue. Can anybody with a vintage Tracks tell me how their wing attachment is - pin or screw?
Has the Tracks mold been KOed? Usually you see the screw attachments on them. Found that out the hard way with a Rippersnapper.
