There's the Platinum Edition Dinobot set that has the AOE Dinobots in the G1 colors along with G1 accurate heads if that interests you.

 

I do like that breakdown! I'm not sure what "GDO" is

 

I can't remember what GDO stood for either (Global Development something, I think) but it was the Toys-R-Us exclusive sub-line in Generations with the old red-background packaging. About fifteen toys across the major size classes, but the ones I listed were really the only ones that fit your criteria. There was a Powerdive remolded from HFTD Highbrow that homaged G2 Powerdive, though.

EDIT: there were also a ROTF Skystalker redeco called Laserbeak and a HFTD Breacher redeco called Brawl, but those were really on the periphery of being acceptable G1 homages (in my opinion).

 

I have been looking at the aoe dinobots and think snarls looks pretty good. any thoughts?

 

There is a version of that which has the same G1 color scheme but with a new G1 styled head sculpt and he's part of a set that has the same thing happened to them.

yep I am aware of them. I like the sdcc set for the beast mode I think it is more g1 accurate and I like the platinum head in robot mode thinking about doing some parts swapping

 

As someone who is hoping to sell off his SDCC Snarl...you should totally get one  

 

There's also a G1-inspired Wheeljack remold of the DOTM Que figure. Takara put it out in their Movie Advanced line. Hasbro didn't release it at all.

What about him? The original toy is a jet/space ship the rift toy is a truck. Head sculpt only rhing that carried over

 

ROTF Blowpipe was actually said to be an homage to Pipes.

Whether it's a decent homage to Pipes is highly debatable (and the person arguing in favor is likely to lose, to be honest). But that said, that mold was a standout of the first movie line, in my opinion. One of the best.

 

blowpipe could also make a pretty alright soundwave, if you don't mind him having a truck mode. yeah, there's already a movie soundwave, but this one still has a general G1-ish SW headsculpt, the blue is a perfect match and he has a window chest...

 

got to pass on the blowpipe. but seriously thinking about the aoe g1 dinobots!

 

i'm starting to love this figure. reprolabels has some stickers that bring a little more of the g1 elemets into it
