Aside from online sources, some areas have comic/toy shops. You can also try flea markets, yard sales, or thrift stores, but those are all very hit and miss. You can try asking around to those who grew up in the 80s. Some people still have some, but don't want them anymore.

Everything he said plus forums like here and Seibertron, I have bought, sold and traded and as a bonus since the members are other collectors, prices and trades are pretty fair as well.

I have not had a bad transaction with any members on either site, but I do check out their posts and feedback before I deal with them :)

Big Bad Toy Store also has Junk/Loose lots of TFs on their site. Hook, Skylyx and the yet to ship Lot with Runamuck and Grapple were all purchased at BBTS

I've seen some at antique shops. Most I've found at comic/toy shops.

During the 90's I always asked around. People I knew ended up having some G1 TFs that I snatched up.

My fiance and I frequent garage sales almost weekly. I've scored some good G1 stuff from the, but don't get your hopes up. Best way to do do that is find one that has them then watch for their address and return when they have another one.

You can still find some at garage sales and thrift stores, but it's harder now, it's not like the old days.

    God I miss those times.

My old math teacher gave me a broken G1 Sixshot and a Roadgrabber pretender vehicle once.

And I found a half of a Pretender shell in my Grandparent's basement. I figure they must have gotten it in a box of stuff at a garage sale or something.
