Dont get me wrong, it LOOKS awesome on the cannon, but since the shapes are cut on an angle, how would they meet up without either over lapping, or having a gap on some spots?
It always amazed me how the U.S. and Japan don't talk to each other, eheh. In the U.S. Instruction Sheet, those battery stickers are shown on Soundwave himself, not the battery.

I suppose most people miss it because Buzzsaw's wing is covering it on the front of the box and that's the version most people see. And the little solo picture of Soundwave on his tech specs card is too tiny to realise it unless you're specifically looking for that sticker, which many probably weren't because they thought they were some kind of speaker stickers. And by the time Encore rolls around and it's uncovered on the box art it still goes unnoticed because of that ingrained expectation.
Huh. When I eventually get around to reprolabbeling my G1 Soundwave I'm sticking those stickers on his batteries!
